i tried it on a whim and GODDAMN

so long as you can hit your Q, you never die, you can constantly zone, and two Q hits instaclears the wave. get roa and zz'rot and you can just become ACTUAL SATAN toplane. you're probably not going to get any kills unless your opponent decides to stick around after being poked a bunch, but oh my god is this build dumb.

and the best part is, you're still soraka, you can still transition into that cancerous growth in the mid and lategame that just keeps your team pushing forever.

go try it out if you're a horrible person like me.

Can we get more info? Who were you up against? What matchups have you done so far? Susceptibility to ganks?

The way I see it, anyone with a gap closer would just bully you out of lane (Renekton, Fiora, Naut, etc)

How would this be a thing? You have no AD, you're just going to miss all the cs when you inevitably get pushed under tower because you're Soraka. You have no sustained damage. I don't really understand this at all, can you please enlighten my ignorant, bronze butt?

ha, sorry but a decent riven would still destroy you, specially every time her ult was up. With your log ass silence cd, she can easily wait it out. Anything with an engage will shit on her.

The advantage is that your lane isn't dying barring major mistakes on your part. The disadvantage is that your lane isn't scoring kills barring major mistakes on their part.

If you have a mage support (like Brand) who transitions into a full on mage late game, it's a decent top pick because it gives some utility late game... but Soraka's late game support is pretty meh, and she's not going to win any battles on her own.
