Is playing AD and attack speed good for any champion?

I am Gold on NA and have seen Thresh ADC carrying game. Also seen ADC ahri carrying game on normal. I looked at those people and their scores and seen that with the regular build they sucked, maybe because they are skillshot champions? Also tryndamere. AP tryndamere is good for people that know to play him but he is underrated to his AD version. Is AD and attack speed OP in this meta?

No people just don't know how to handle non- meta builds. When an ahri goes ad they continue to try avoiding all the abilities without thinking about the fact that its the auto's killing them.

I remember before Annie range nerf people played Annie ADC, and her Q looked bigger than her AA.

ADC Annie was very similar to a ezreal. You just traded your q's on hit for a stun and had a built in thornmail lol

They can. But would you rather have ADC Ahri or ADC Jinx?

jinx of course, I was just explaining why it seems like every champ can go ad and work.

I took a few photos of death recaps from AD thresh. He had damage just from Flay And 1 auto... Also with runaan's hurricane and Statikk shiv he had 544 farm at end of the game... I mean come on... 400 AD and 2.30 attack speed is 1 shot thinking his E passive. Also,I smell if no new items for AP will show up AP casters will be out of meta... As example, Katarina has weak damage without ult. While AD will need only on hit effects, attack speed boosts or anything like that.

EDIT:Also as I said most people that played those AD champs sucked with regular builds, so maybe AD is for people that are bad at skillshots.

AD Thresh has a ton of burst damage. You do 100% AD from AA, up to 200% AD+souls collected in magic damage from Flay passive, and 100 magic damage from Statikk Shiv. And this is if the AA doesn't crit.

I believe anything can ad carry in gold, suggesting the player is skilled enough. The troubles people have in this low of elo is gameplay and mechanics, we aren't capable of really abusing or exploiting strengths and weaknesses.

Wow didn't think gold is low elo. I mean I wanted to quit game when I came back to Bronze in EUNE after all summer in gold. I see a lot of counterplay in gold. Also I said the players were shit. When they played regular builds they had like 1/14 but 15/5 ADC thresh...

Its low elo, but its also not good. Its not toxic and filled with baddies like Bronze Silver but Gold players still dont have the mechanics or the right thought process yet. When I was playing with Gold I was telling them.. The only thing that separates Gold and Platinum is the way the think and their decisions in game and just a bit of mechanics. Its like all I see in gold is Jungler going full damage with sated or ADC or MID dont build correctly. If you see the other item team stack Crit get randiuns anyway even if youre an APC over a last item Ludens or something, they get a lot of AD and you have mana.. then get a frozen heart. You already do enough burst but you cant just die after 3 AA. Or they get snowballed so fast cause they are so aggro in lane. Try to passively play lane and work for the kill slowly while csing and managing the wave correctly so its easier for them to get ganked. Going over ojectives over kills and teamfight and how to get them logically. Things like that

Short answer, no.

Long answer, all champions have autoattacks. Autoattack damage scales based on AD, AS, Crit chance, Crit damage, and somewhat Armor Penetration. Each of these stats multiplies how effective the others are (200 AD: get 100 AD, get 50% more damage. 200 AD: get 50% crit chance, get 100% more damage). Any champion can exist as an adc build.

However, most champions do not synergize well with an adc build. Normal adcs work via range and various autoattack steroids, things which most non adcs either do not have, or do not have that scale well (if at all) with physical damage. For example, Twisted Fate has an autoattack steroid in E, but does not do well as an adc most of the time because all of his damage scales with AP and his steroid will not help him keep up with most adcs damage.

So while ADC anything will have a baseline effectiveness, a normal, meta adc will likely beat them almost every time in their actual role due to bein better suited for it.

Also, AP Tryndamere is absolute shit compared to AD Tryndamere. He has a stronger heal (which does not matter because he'll be at 1 hp most fights anyway) and his E will potentially do more damage (you can get more AP than AD, but E will still do physical damage and AP Trynd isn't getting armor pen, making it even AT BEST), but he sacrifices every single strength of his kit for zero gain. AD Tryndamere has more E's (Critical strikes reduce E's cooldown) and thus more damage before even factoring in autoattack damage, and due to lifesteal already beats any advantage stronger Q heals could give. There is literally no reason to pick AP Tryndamere over AD.

AP build allows you to waveclear faster with E and split push safer with more slipperiness (with CDR and MS). Life steal is weaker than Q heal of AP build. But overall AD build is better for taking towers, since that's pretty much the only reason for picking him.

No. AD Has Statikk, crits, and a just as good E (and AD can still itemize cdr: Black Cleaver, Zephyr, 10% from runes + masteries). With BotRK and Statikk, AD Tryndamere can E through a wave, autoattack a caster once, and have Statikk clear all the casters while he has enough MS and AS to autoatatck each melee once to kill. AD Trynd clears entire waves in ~1-3 seconds max. AP can not split safer or slippier: AD has better movement speed options (Zephyr, Statikk/PD, Black Cleaver) and due to actually itemizing for critical hits A) lowers E's cooldown much more through autoattacks alone, and B) has enough damage to actually win fights and take objectives instead of only being able to E and then hope nothing kills him.

Lifesteal is massively stronger than Q heal. Let's assume Tryndamere has 500 AP for AP build, and 300 AD, 90% crit chance, 250% crit damage, and 10% lifesteal.

At full fury, AP Tryndamere is healing for 1050 (300 base). At full fury, AD Tryndamere is healing for 300 (300 base). So the difference is 750. Before you get excited, look at that little bit about lifesteal. One autoattack is healing Tryndamere for 30 health. One crit is healing him for 75. At 2.0 AS (normal at this point in the game for AD Trynd) he is healing ~141 health a second while autoattacking: this is 987 health healed over the minimum time until Q can be reused (7.2 second at 40% cdr). AD Trynd is healing 237 more health over the minimum time, and due to the AD/AS/Crit chance/Crit damage multipliers actually increases that amount further as the game goes on.

Overall, AD build is better for literally everything. At lategame numbers, AP has...let's say 900 AP. That's a 1090 damage E. Assuming he somehow has 40% cdr with that 900 AP, that's 1090 AoE damage every 5.2 seconds. Assuming he hits 5 enemy champions, he has ~1048 damage a second. Let's say AD has 400 AD, 90% crit chance, 250% crit damage, and 2.0 AS. He does an average damage per autoattack of 940. Over 5 seconds, he does 9400 damage for a DPS of 1880: almost twice AP Trynd's. Let's say he also adds in 2 E's (which he can, because at 90% crit chance he'll get ~9 crits in this time, reducing E's cooldown completely): that's 5308 damage if he hits all 5 enemy champions, for an added 1061 DPS from E alone.

As in, AD Tryndamere's E alone is doing more damage per second than AP ever can reach. Adding in the actually useful autoattacks, and AD Tryndamere has almost three times as much damage as AP in addition to massively stronger healing. So no. There's literally nothing AP Tryndamere does that AD Tryndamere does not do better.

Crittlesticks, AD Kennen, AD TF, AD Lulu are all decent. Not ideal, but decent.

it works in low elo if the 'AD trollbuilders' have higher skill than average
