What are some of the hardest lane matchups?

What champion just hard counters your main? Who can you never beat in lane? And I don't mean the circlejerk du jour, I mean legitimately terrifying counterpicks.

Edit, because people seem to have misunderstood me: I don't mean this as a thread just to vent about whatever you just lost to. I mean things like trying to play Darius into a Kalista top, or someone with a weak early game into Draven/Leona, or someone with no range against a Xerath. Matchups that can only really end one way, given players of roughly equal skill.

I'll think of some: Yasuo Counters - All champions with skillshots Zed Counters - People who don't have fast enough reactions Ahri Counters - Champions that need to use their abilities to kill Cassiopeia Counters - Champions that have dashes and blinks, also champions that need their abilities to kill Annie AurelionSol Orianna Counters - Champions that get too close to them Lissandra Karma Counters - All melee champions Heimerdinger Zyra Counters - Ganks Morgana Counters - Champions with CC, and dashes and blinks Lux Counters - Kills anything as long as she lands her combo Anivia Counters - Champions that need that one last hit on them, and suddenly have an egg on their face There's a thousand more things I can think of, but that's all for now!

Maybe Alistar into Blitzcrank because Alistar wants to go in and makes that easy. Maybe into Soraka because can grab Soraka unless she plays scared behind minions. I dunno.

I don't know if these are the hardest matchups but I'd say they're hard.

Kennen is complete cancer when I'm playing Darius , he's literally the only champion I can't win lane against at my elo :/

As a Teemo main, I'm countered by a decent Heimerdinger player. I'm so squishy so I can't get close to him at all...

I don't deny that as a Teemo main I might deserve it tho...

MonkeyKing main. Rank 7 mastery, in fact. And even I cannot ever beat Pantheon in lane.

All of my other supposed counters, I've learned to handle them so long as I don't eff up too badly, but Pantheon is the ultimate counter to Wu.

Back when I played a lot of Leona, picking into Kench was always a nightmare for me. Engage him, and the little bastard just wouldn't die. Engage his carry, and he'd simply eat them up and cart them away. It seemed a hopeless scenario.

Riven against Poppy is one helluva time i'll give you that. Especially if Poppy is good. Kind of like the ol' Teemo vs Nasus, if both are good, Nasus won't get very many stacks.

Nasus Doesn't matter who I play as, I always manage to fuck it up and feed him. This is made worse by the fact that I have a tendency to get camped top lane more than when I play other lanes and the fact that I play best when I play passive.

Kayle is a toughie for Garen alright.

If the Kayle has even the slightest idea as to what she's doing, she will never lose lane to Garen.

I don't have too many hard matchups, but I absolutely hate facing Jayce, Xerath, Ahri..Sometimes good Illaois that can zone me out properly and always hit their Es. But it's not usually cause they beat me, just cause I hate them. Jayce is supposed counter me somewhat as well.

Jayce can go either way; if he gets a kill, he usually snowballs off that and I can't get near him ever again. If I get a kill, I usually just keep dumpstering him unless he's building hard damage to which he can match the sustained damage I'd dish out with burst and kiting/poking. Ahri, I've only really ever seen one good Ahri beat me as Karma. Can't cc her properly, so gg. Xerath, annoying to play 'dodge the...everything'. Not too hard of a matchup though. Honorable mention to GP...Annoyance from start to end of match.

I mentioned top and mid champs cause I'm a top and/or mid main. I have less success otherwise (I think).

On a slightly unrelated note, Vayne is just frustrating as all hell to face as any tank or juggernaut. 1k true damage, 500 each of physical attack and tumble damage. Yay.

Darius is a pain, I hate Jax, I hate Nasus, damn....I hate most pubstomp champs really.

I can imagine Renekton and Pantheon being a problem but I never faced them.

Oh yeah and mid lane Caitlyn (when I get it) is super tilting

Fiora counters my poppy so hard, i need it banned every game. hey i ave an idea, give er a lunge that has barely any cooldown, a passive that does hp/ad damage, o and heals, did i mention it has no cooldown, and to top it off ggive her 4 passives, that does true damage this time and gives her a janna ult

Nasus VS Zac This is the worst lane for Zac. It is possible to win, but not likely. All of your abilities are aoe, so you can't harass him without pushing the wave. He also has so much sustain that you can't kill him without help. Sooner or later, he will outscale you. I really don't know what to do about this lane.

Any early game high burst champion can make Sion's Lane a nightmare. But specific counters in my experience are:

Riven: can be considered a skill match up playerwise, but she has everything in her kit to mess you up and destroy you early.

Fiora: %health true damage duelist vs a infinite health scaling tank. This should be obvious.

Darius: he just overpowers me with raw damage.

It's match ups like these that make me glad his E exists.

The one game where I had a champion that just removed me from existence was me as Sion top lane vs Fiora.

Her passive beats Sion. Her infinite Q catches Sion. Her W counters Sion. Her E slows and literally kills Sion with a set up to her passive. Her Ult, you guessed it, removes Sion. I never seen a champion with that much hard counter packed into one kit vs another. At least Nasus had late game vs Riven as an example back then. But Fiora vs Sion? Freelo for Fiora's team, gg, outplayed in champion select. She beats him early, mid, and late game, which seems to be the meta for top lane sadly. Have one champ hard shut down the other and ruin their day.

Malphite Its not hard to win against him but when your Quinn and don't get an early kill you wont ever be able to 1v1 him and even if you ahead killing him is near impossible. Thankfully hes not the best pusher so I can normally snowball elsewhere

well i feel some really tough lane matchups for me when i play my main Aatrox are Volibear , Poppy , TahmKench , Renekton , Urgot , Heimerdinger , and Kled . hope this helps :D

Playing Fiora into Illaoi Urgot Yorick Nasus Malphite Renekton Pantheon

These match ups are the most frustrating to play as Fiora. These lanes are completely unwinnable unless the enemy player is a complete noob.

Trundle Literally anyone ranged, especially if they have burst damage.

Also, anyone that can weave in and out of combat without using up too much of their resources. They are a nightmare for Trundle to deal with early-mid game. He can help someone else kill them, but he can't do much to threaten these champions on his own. Late game is another story, but he most likely won't get there if they were able to secure an early lead.
