WE're buffing Lee Sin so he's in even more of your games.

"For professionals, Lee Sin is a perfect champion; a strong contributor at each stage of the game, flexible in item builds and adaptable to almost any scenario. For the average player however, he’s that champion you wish you didn’t see on your team due to the sheer number of games required to reach a certain level of competency."

Taken from the patch notes. I like patch notes guy, I really do, some of his jokes are all right. But this is flat out hyperbole.

People don't hate lee sin because he's tough to use (ward jumping is hard hurr hurr)

People hate lee sin because he's a ball of utility that is as you say strong at all stages of the game And the community at large is already rolling their collective eyes at the thought of this waving, hopping, kicking ball of cancer being in every game they ever play for this patch.

Even more, Rito made the running joke on the forums reality.

Lee buffs right before world$$$$. Zed buffs right before World$$$$ Leblanc buffs right before World$$$$ Who'd have thought huh?

This is the worst shameless and ridiculous and absurd excuse for a buff on Lee Sin I've ever read, and we have seen already so many. I feel insulted in my intelligence. Really.

It amaze me that they would buff LeeSin. He was already the most popular jungler, and by quite a big margin.

I don't care if his win rate is kinda low, he's still played a lot, and I certainly do NOT want to see him in every fukin game again like he was in season 4.

Riot must miss him tough, cause flashy LC$ big plays, right?

It's not like he's the #1 picked jungler already... >.>

It's like Riot believes that only 10 champions can pull off big plays.

LeeSin : "For professionals, Lee Sin is a perfect champion; a strong contributor at each stage of the game, flexible in item builds and adaptable to almost any scenario"

Ahri : "... 'pretty safe' mid and late-game, putting her dangerously close to 'good-in-all-situations"

Guess who got nerfed and who got buffed.

Because, logic.

I wonder how long until they buff Trinity Force again? After all, can't have Worlds without a 100% Corki pick/ban rate.

Someone needs to tell Riot that joking about Lee Sin, Zed, and LeBlanc buffs doesn't magically make it okay.

There are dozens of champs that are languishing in the dumpster, whether by accident or by design, and their "balance" team has such a piss-poor reputation as it is for showing naked favoritism, that they cannot afford to be doing this, let alone joking about it.

These patch notes are mindboggling. Why does Riot think this is okay? Are they really going to throw the rest of us under the bus for the LCS big plays?

Riot seems to be embracing the art of changing the definitions of words. What's happened to "balance" is no less incomprehensible than what happened to "poison".

Riot cant buff or nerf lee sin without talking bout lcs

Allow me to take on a role of a Rioter and provide some context here.

We've noticed Lee's peel isn't as godlike as the rest of his kit, so we are giving it a huge buff. Also, we are punishing enemy team for their tank making the right decisions by building HP and being in the frontline. This is something we have actively been trying to avoid, even completely scrapping Karma because of it, but hey, Mr. Lee "LC$BIGPLAYS" Sin has already proven multiple times that he is immune to our balance guidelines.

Oh, and we've noticed that Lee might sometimes run out of energy if he spams his spells like a madman. Then he has to use 2 AAs to restore it, and this actually gives a window of opportunity for his opponent to retaliate. We don't want enemy having a fair chance against our poster boy, so we are increasing energy return on the first AA.

We'll be watching these changes closely. They are intended to bring Lee back to being picked in 80%+ of the games, because, let's be honest - who doesn't love seeing LC$BIGPLAYS even at a cost of having to face an absolutely toxic champion? If he still falls short, we are considering some more minor buffs like removing his energy costs and making all of his abilities count as AAs for the purpose of on-hit effects to make him able to properly overshadow compete with Devourer junglers.

I don't understand how people can hate lee and devourer at the same time. I mean, he's like the greatest counter to any devourer jungler.

I also don't understand how can people hate lee but be perfectly okay with JarvanIV who doesn't even need to land his q to burst squishies with semitanky build.

Boards makes no sense these days.

I agree, let's bring back the brainless tank meta, that was fun!

ihaveapotion8/20/2015, 10:40:58 AM3 votes

how can he be in more games when hes already in every game? ;l

Kalarepa8/20/2015, 4:00:56 PM3 votes

Those Lee Sin buffs right before worlds are final confirmation for me, that while balancing the game, Riot first of all cares about flashy champions with big plays in tournaments.

ponkzy8/20/2015, 1:41:06 PM2 votes

lee sin is pretty shit in the late game. you guys think insecing a priority target is easy when the pros can't even do it 99% of the time. its so easy to flash out of it and then you win the 4v5 because tank lee sin is not that tanky in the late game

i don't even know what these boards wants played. tanks get played in the jungle and everyone is bored outta their minds, carries like elise and lee sin start coming back and people complain. do you want xerath and malzahar jungle or something? shut the hell up and play the game

people complain about zed, leblanc, and akali mid lane and they all get nerfed to hell. then we have viktor who can blow up someone from 1k units away and everyone is happy. not mention his aoe stun that can single handily win a teamfight
