I don't get it why rework amumu his kit has stood the test of time he looks and kit are still up to date. The only reason I can think of you wanting to rework him is because of a unhealthy/toxic kit but imo he has a lot of counter play and is pretty balanced
Teridax682 votesAmumu's kit isn't really toxic, it's just fairly one-note, for the most part. Three of his abilities are PBAoE damage, and while landing Q + ult into the middle of the entire enemy team feels amazing, his W and E don't really do more besides make that combo stronger. If he's selected for the Vanguard Update, chances are he'll get a bit more variety to his abilities, though hopefully he'll still be able to work as a hand grenade initiator.
zlumpy1 votesI think they are reworking most of the old champs to make them more dynamic. Amumu is very simple and unfortunately many people equate simple to boring or bad. So he will probably recieve some weird situational things in his kit or gain some new mobility that isnt as linear as bandage toss. I'm sure other simple champs like nunu, rammus, and mundo will see changes in the future. Just look at all the other reworks. Most just make the champ able to do more than they previously could.

cyberbullied1 voteslook at the warwick rework, he has a lot more choices now with his kit, ult in/out, q hold for chase or snapcast, e snapcast for fear or hold for tankiness, i think giving amumu a kit with more choices is good. his kit is a very linear one. Q in with your w on, R and e, q, e,e and once he goes in he has to stay, i think amumu rework to give him more choices will make mummy tears common again.

Quepha1 votesHis kit isn't unhealthy. It doesn't have much of a mastery curve or expression of skill, it is pretty one-dimensional, and it's a little boring. That said, those things wouldn't really be that bad in the grand scheme of things EXCEPT for the fact that ALL the other vanguards have the same set of problems while filling the same niche in the game.

ValyrianBlade1 votesTo be completely fair, I think Amumu has had the highest win rate in solo queue (HEAVILY Biased by solo queue being predominantly bronze/silver) for like the last 3 seasons in a row.
Which, to clarify, means across the entire season as a whole. Obviously on individual patches he isn't there. It may be considered pretty scary that the same champion has been the best champion of the season for 3 seasons in a row though.
And maybe I'm making that up. I really don't have a source. I just feel like I remember seeing this. So it may be due to his power in low-elo solo queue (and honestly, his weakness in high elo / pro play.
cyberbullied1 votesthe only reason for his higher winrate in lower elo is that his team knows exactly what he is going to do and they can work with it. this works against him the higher elo you get, because the enemy team can play around it more and more.
