These nerfs to Exhaust are ridicules.

So before you read this post I have to say i"m bronze 1 so to some of you my opinion my be invalid :P. So here is the nerf "Exhausts target enemy champion, reducing their Movement Speed by 30%, and their damage dealt by 40% for 2.5 seconds." No longer reduced attack speed by 30% No longer reduced armor and MR by 10 Why isn't it "Now reduces attack speed to 15% instead of 30" Also why isn't it "Now reduces armor and MR by 5" Why does riot take it of its stats away and not just nerf it by half I don't get it. Someone explain this to me P.s Sorry for my bad English still learning :P

Because there is absolutely no reason why a defensive summoner spell like Exhaust ever needed offensive stats like Ar/MR shred. The 30% AS slow was complete overkill considering it already reduced your total damage output by 40%.

Exhaust was too strong. It got to the point where 2-3 champions were taking it a game. No, its not as strong or as commo as Flash, but Riot has specfically said Flash is so core to the game that almost every champion is balanced around it

Yet Lethality gets a small adjustment.

What does Lethality have to do with defensive summoner spells?

He is saying that Riot are nerfing exhaust because 2-3 people take it per game, but when 9/10 players building the trinity of lethality, there's only minor tweaks.

Exhaust has the Shred to encourage you to fight the attacker and not just run away. So games are a lot more interactive, more interesting. There you have your reason. Now give me a reason why it shouldnt be buffed in a meta where there are 3-4 enemys that need your exhaust! Also everybody taking exhaust is the reaction to the 1 shot/snowball meta. Since its normally the only way you can somewhat surive this. We had snowball metas before and exhaust was completely fine... But now it is suddenly OP after more then 3 years. Seriously why does Riot listen to something like this!?

The hole game is balanced with summoners in mind, not just flash...

Exhaust was a fun summoner that could be used defensively and offensively. So it opened the door to a lot of decision-making skills and, hence, to a lot of fun. It was a wonderful summoner.

Now, it's shit. 0 decision making.

The problem is not exhaust. The problem is that shitty meta they are building. They (riot) are just idiots, they are building a shit meta and nerfing all around in order to fit the shit they have in their heads, destroying in their way all the fun in this game. Honestly, the people that made S6 and S7 should be fired.

They probably went to shift exhaust in a defensive direction rather than an offensive one.

Exhausting the rengar or kha'zix jumping on your ADC isn't saving your ADC, but exhausting the enemy ADC so yours has the upper hand is the way to go.

With this new exhaust, it won't hurt tanks as badly making resistances feel more meaningful, and it doesn't completely remove the ADC out of the game by lowering their DPS, while additionally weakening those potential one shot moves from most champions (making them more hesitant to jump in).

I like this new exhaust but I do find it overtuned slightly since mid laners could just always take it and out trade anyone reducing their burst.

They should probably increase the damage reduction along with this.

Dont worry, the guys wanting this nerf to happen have not a single solid argument so this nerf should be canceled... They all say "exh is just defensiv, why shred!?", the answer is: no, it never was just a defensiv tool, the shred encourages you to fight the attacker and not to just run away. (Which is the normal reaction if you get chunked by over 50% of your hp). Its a defensiv tool that encourages you to fight back! This provides more interactive and fun to watch gameplay. They dont have any other argument whatsoever. So ignore them or tell them this argument until they come up with a solid reason...

I could even claim an Exh Buff tbh, because we have 3+ 1-shot machines in every game. So we need a btter exhaust and this is better supported by facts then the ridiculus exhaust nerf claims... They all also fail to see that 2 or even 3 people(rare case)pick up exhaust because of this meta! Its a reaction!

I could say: "IE feels weak and should get the passiv increased to 100% crit dmg." Thats how those people sound to me... Why the hell does Riot even listen to something like this!?

Just because you're low rank, doesn't mean you don't have a good point!

why should exh be more powerful VS auto-attacking champions than against casters? this is the spell being inconsistent, one target being hurt more than the other.

i would say this is simply an unfair point being removed.

2

i think this basically moves exh into a specific usage instead of being a one-size-fits-all-I-win button.

If we are talking about an unfair point about AD getting hit harder by a summoner spell than AP can we also talk about how unfair 3 offensive AD + MR items are to AP?

The attack speed nerf I could see being reduced to 15 instead of 30 rather than being removed, but the armor shred SHOULD have never been added to begin with. It's an overloaded summoner and I'm not sure why everyone doesn't take it(minus one lane for TP). It's insanely overpowered and I always take it mid lane unless I'm taking Lux for Barrier or someone who doesn't really try to get close enough to exhaust(though most of the time I take it even then because exhaust and ignite both require that, unless I take ghost).

Also, reasons why exhaust should be getting nerfed hardcore: It's overloaded. It has more stats than any summoner spell. Supports already are overpowered. They've been getting things handed to them every class update despite the class updates not being them, even going so far as to TAKE some items from the classes they originally were used foritem 3174 (just watch, supports will get items next update too). They've also gotten a new stat exclusively for healing and shielding, when heals and shields already have modifiers(usually AP and at least 1 heal/shield item adds AP as wellitem 3504 , and another one of those buffs itselfitem 3107). Supports ALSO 98% of the time take exhaust whereas every other role it's more of a tossup therefore even more power to supports who already are overpowered(but this OPness is overlooked because they're supports).

People didnt take it because a fight lasted longer than 2.5 seconds. So it wasnt a good choice for those who wanted to score kills. Ignite was much better to secure kills with its grevious wounds, specially earlygame.

Now, fights last 2.5 seconds, some of them even less, so there is no point in taking ignite, you dont need ingnite for shit, they are going to die anyway in less than 2.5 seconds.

The problem is not the summoners, the problem is this fkng horrible meta, that is screewing the game and taking all fun from it.

I've been taking exhaust for quite a while. It's extremely good and always has been, people just never used it because they thought ignite = more kills, but they both do the same job in different ways. Exhaust turns close fights around so you can win them, ignite just deals ticks of damage over time. Both require you to be in short range of an enemy so exhaust is better because of the chance to take more damage. That's always been my thought process anyways.

Didnt even know it got nerfed but I definitely saw the change while I was using it in game. I play a lot of support, so I always take exhaust with me. I guess there is no point now.
