Be honest about TF

According to the 5.24 patch notes: TwistedFate has, for years, reigned as supreme pressure in mid lane - the greatest of terrors in the game. The purpose here is to inject some honesty into the dev view of TF, so we'll start with the disillusioned but honest patch quote, "... Twisted Fate's been an under-the-table force for a while ... Unparalleled map presence and point-click stuns reign supreme ..." Is anyone else dumbfounded by that statement?

I am a bronze player, but it doesn't take a master player to figure out that TF is a cc monkey for team fights and that TF's damage gains effectiveness only with a big item or level advantage. In fact, TF is merely a reflection of the other four players, since the entire kit basically adds.

Since nothing is going to change anytime soon about this major inaccuracy of the dev team about the value of TF in the current and recent past metas, it would be nice to offer poll results as proof. Sure, devs can say that the majority does not know the future path of the changes, but the majority certainly knows whether a champion does "reign supreme." Does TF reign supreme? Seriously? Do your part. Inject honesty.

TF is always gonna be a good pick no matter what and he does have his fair share of counters and weaknesses. In lane he's pretty shit and moreso relies on his map presence and roams to make sure he snowballs and becomes a threat. He's kind of a feast or famine champ in the fact that if he is 0-10 or somewhere along those lines, he basically becomes a glorified support because he still has his gold card, but he's not gonna do much besides that. I don't think TF is oppressive at all, but that could just be because I play Zed, who crushes the living hell out of him and his kit isn't that strong early at all unless he has a kill or two advantage on you in lane which shouldn't really happen unless you're stupid, TF is good, the enemy jungler is fucking you over, or just a mix of all 3.

Nobody fears twisted fate in lane it is more of his global presence. I think it is a well designed champion because it rewards smart play.

Zed isn't on the list? I can't for the life of me find a champion I'm good at to counter him.

If you watch a few high ELO games with TF you will see his power. At that level his teammates know how to play with him. Very few TF ults go without a kill. Later game he becomes a fairly big splitpushing threat with his low cooldown teleport and good waveclear. To a master player, TF is a lot more than a gold card in teamfights. Yes, TF only suceeds if your allies work with him, but for the ELO that Riot balances around, everybody does, which means that TF is never that far away from being a top pick.

You highly underestimate how powerfull twisted can be if used well. His lane is quite strong, his AAs do hurt alot as he has great base stats for a ranged xhamo, allowing him to win most extendet trades vs toher mages, while he also has good poke, great waveclear and some mana sustain. He can follow up on ganks pretty well with the goldcard, but mostly it's ult+gold card.

A good Twisted will create a kill for his team nearly every time the ult is up uin the laneing phase, and with that ganks+his passive, he will nearly always have a gold lead, allowing him to be a high damage threat early-mid. Later in the game, he is a massive splitpusher. He can shove in waves from a save distance and has a high amount of damage vs structers, and if an opponent comes to defend the tower, he can use his ult to force a 5vs4 fight mid with his team.

There are little champs i fear more than a well played twisted, as i can do little to prevent him from getting fed from other lanes, as that is his one big strength: ganking other lanes.

I don't personally think there's anything wrong with TF. I'm just glad his gate is actually his ultimate instead of a regular skill with only like 20 seconds of cd. Old times were hard :(

As far as complexity, sure TF has a point and click CC which makes him pretty easy to play but using his ultimate properly adds enough complexity to his kit to keep him interesting.

TF has a good map presence comparing to other midlaners TF has a spammable stun TF has great teamfight potential due to his low cooldowns TF has high dmg output TF is strong good pick Be like TF ! (MicroVolt-EUW/TF main)
