Rengar honestly feels like the worst champion in the game right now

No wonder scrubnoob is so toxic. I don't understand how anyone wins with this champ. Compare Rengar to Kayn or Ekko. They both have ways to safely enter their fight, stick to their target, and get out. Rengar just jumps in and dies with his unimpressive damage. I mained this champ in Season 4 and we did great things together, but I feel like Riot intentionally gutted him because doublelift complained and ADCs have the whole game built around them.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I feel like fights that would be good as any other champion are just losses as Rengar and then you have 0 escape because Riot decided he doesn't get to be invisible anymore even though HIS ULT TELLS YOU WHO HE'S AIMING AT LMAO.

Think about it, when's the last time you saw a Rengar do ANYTHING spectacular in your game that another Assassin couldn't have done better?

He's too heavily reliant on allies not dying to their lane opponents early and his opponents creating openings for him.

Personally I am glad that he isn't viable.

But setting personal bias aside, no champion should call the dumpster behind Riot HQ their home.

You have to get a takedown on all five champions in order for your damage to really scale. That means your early game decisions are critical for your late game success. Try pathing red > krugs > wraiths > skuttle and then look for a level 3 gank early on. You only need an assist to get the passive to proc, and you'll find your damage much more impactful if you succeed.

Best of luck!

Rengar has been nerfed so much, even i have trouble playing him anymore (and i mained him for so long), same with most assassins, the class as a whole isn't consistent anymore, too risky and all people have to do is play safe early on and you fall off so quickly, with a couple exceptions such as kayn/ekko who can become a bruiser instead if they don't get fed, but assassins like zed/rengar don't scale well as bruiser, but rengar is worse off atm, he wants to be a diver, but doesn't have the toolset to do so, if they would change his Q to do some flat bonus dmg and some % dmg he would defintely feel more viable (think like how eve is rn)

High elo rengar is an absolute nightmare to play against. He's actually banned by challenger players all the time just because going against a rengar main is hell (IWD as one example, for somebody that meta slaves he perma bans rengar despite having a decent champ pool against him. NB3 doesn't ban him but he also plays him consistently).

He's not as weak as you'd think once you peak his skill ceiling. A rengar player that knows how to counter gank early, utilitize his empowered abilities, and select his moments to go in (the biggest gap between high elo and low elo assassin players) make him one of the most oppressive assassins in the game.

His biggest weakness is mainly his jungle clear early on (rengar main know how to kite their camps really well), and his general early presence (jungle mains know how to predict enemy junglers and countergank them, powerfarm, or even pull off ganks anyway since rengar's empowered E is incredibly good if you save it for after they flash. They also know how to utilitize jungle camps and jungle plants to prep their empowered abilities before ganks or before doing a different camp.)

I'd say you might be doing something wrong either with your macro or your mechanics, rengar definitely can 1v9 in the right hands, I've been experiencing it all season cause there's so many rengar otps in diamond in both top and jg, and at least 7/10 of them utterly shit on me and my teams.
