Riot Gameplay and Balance

Jax Counterstrike (E) cooldown lowered to 16/14/12/10/8 from 18/16/14/12/10 Grandmaster's Might (R) Flat Bonus magic resist now 20/35/50 from 25/35/45] Grandmaster's Might (R) Bonus armor now 20/35/50 + 50% bonus AD from 25/35/45 +30% Bonus AD

Cho'Gath Feast (R) now reads " If it kills a minion or monster, 50% of the cooldown and mana cost are refunded." Feast (R) cooldown increased to 80 at all ranks from 60 at all ranks.

WHAT?!?!? So... you give jax, a mobility creep champion, a PURE buff to cooldowns and scaling numbers? And you nerf cho, who's one of the most immobile blighted heroes that NEVER goes to LCS, cooldown by 33%.... REALLY?!?!? The buff to stacking on creeps is nice... but we really don't care. Cho needs help on his Q, passive, and R. Not a side-grade on his R that nerfs his late game power.

"oh boy! a buff that makes it easier to get back a 'meh' passive on an ult AFTER you die and lose, and it comes with a nerf to his ability to fight again if the enemy team has mobility or disengage of any kind!"

Riot... your concept of balance, is BULLSHIT! cue the theme song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bSprGhfCso

to clarify, Cho's Q - misses everything, it's telegraphed as hell. It's really good when it hits, but doing so is extremely unreliable and impractical. Cho's Passive - It's really unhealthy. Unfair in lane, and useless late. Seriously needs a change. Cho's R - Pure HP passive, totally meh. Most tank champions are only behind cho by 500 HP at level 18 when he's FULL stacks. and gnar passive (which requires ZERO stacking) gives 13 more armor, 14 more MR, 34 more HP5 (yes 34), 10 more AD, and only 429 less HP to compensate :D!

But cho's ult has an active 650 true damage effect! cool! the new champion will do 540 true damage with it's E and only needs two items (item 3723 item 3078 ) to pull it off every 16.2 seconds. And cho's "ult" is about to get nerfed to 80 seconds of cooldown.

Riot is straight up bad at balance. Like a lot of champs aren't even seeing ranked play at the gold or higher level and they still don't get straight buffs they get reworked abilities that don't do anything but make the few people that play the champ have to change....

"Let's compare two dissimilar champions and bitch at Riot's balance!"

Or let's not and never imply that we did. Because, for every mistake Riot has ever made in balance, the entire community makes millions of mistakes in judging design, understanding balance, and comparisons. I'd definitely prefer Riot's balance over what I hear from 99.9% of the boards and the old forums.

You're comparing two different champions who are getting two entirely different sets of changes, downplaying the positives of one tweak and freaking the hell out over Jax getting straight buffs. Because there's no way that Jax might need them, right? He's Jax. Except, y'know, League of Legends goes through a constant cycle of buffs and nerfs to everyone.

And it's not like that Armor buff is very much, either. 1 point of Armor per 2 points of bonus AD isn't going to hit Leona's defenses (let alone Galio or Rammus) until Jax is packing 140 bonus AD (180, 240) and 350 AP (480, 600). We're talking building nearly pure offense on a bruiser, which is such a great idea in Bronze.

This may be just me, but uhh, isn't Jax's changes considered to be a nerf? I mean it's great his E receives less cooldown now, but his ult defence has gotten weaker. I done some calculations, and turns out the rough difference of his total defence of either one, let's say armor, is roughly -20.

And I don't see the problem of how Cho'gath's changes affects anything. Most of the time, Cho'gath's feast to meant to be a killing blow to either gain a stack, or to insta-smite people in large teamfights, and have that refunded mana & cooldown to keep going in the fight. Probably Riot implement that change so that you can't just use your Feast to "spam & weaken down targets b4 I Q/W".

EDIT: Oh wait, nvm. Just realized Cho'gath's refunded mana & cooldown only works on minions & monsters. Sorry for your loss, Cho mainers :p

Oh, also, don't get me wrong about Gnar . I love him.

But he's a damn good example to compare Chogath with in the field of ults that buff tankiness. Chogath Ult passive is honestly mediocre stats, removed on failure, and countered by Amumu Brand Elise Evelynn Gnar Gragas JarvanIV Jayce KogMaw Malzahar Maokai Mordekaiser Nasus Poppy Quinn Sejuani Sion Trundle Varus Vayne Vi Warwick Zed item 3153 item 3128 item 3151 . I'm sure I probably missed something that drops max HP in there, but I'll get to it later.

and Gnar passive is OBVIOUSLY crazy strong, and offers tank stats to offset max HP draining shit. Which one is getting nerfed?

what i dont understand is how they just buffed the living shit out of his ulti making it an extra 20% bonus ad like jesus christ why god.
