This should probably be in “discuss the boards” but no one goes there.

This is my message to riot which won’t even be seen.

Riots not gonna listen to shit about anything we say about the game. We complained about tft and bugs in the game and they aren’t fixed.

Boards make petitions? 1000 upvotes on that petition and riot will do nothing about it.

You guys clearly don’t know how to listen to the community or even balance their own game.

Damage is too high.

Your ban system is Garbo

You don’t bring back dominion or any of the rotating game modes this community has asked for.

(You say that urf was taken away because you lost players from removing it. Maybe its because you removed something FUN from your game)

You buff what needs to be nerfed (RENEKTON)

You give a game mode a ranked system without finishing the game mode.

There are amazing ideas and fan art that you pay little attention to.

What made this game fun was the community, but in season 7-9 it has been neglected.

There is no need for these boards if all you are going to do is revert the change to rengar’s Q. Because that’s the only thing that you have listened to the community.

Don’t tell me that you have been working hard on listening to us in the boards, because you haven’t.

Might as well go play dota 2 because you have removed FUN from the game and ignored the community.

just a correction: boards are useless BECAUSE riot doesnt listen

and they also claimed themselves boards are useless

NA is the last viable one, other regions have close to nothing to express themselves and even here it's not that great

whenever riot says we did this cause of feedback... its never close to what we really asked( like the mass not the few) and only serves to push THEIR AGENDA forward, not our fun or enjoyment of the game

Gameplay + boards proved they will never listen. They asked for well thought out feedback, then decided they really just don't have the time, nor the inclination to listen. A shame really, especially for a small indie company.

Rioter's egos are too fragile to admit mistakes or handle real adversity. So they just keep making skins and banning the bad people that say the no no words.

I wouldn't want to spend too much time on boards either, if I were a Riot employee. This place has so many toxic threads that bash Riot; I know, because I've done a fair bit of rude rants against them myself. One or two threads isn't too bad, but when you consistently browse through aggressive messages every day, it really wears down on you.

That being said, yes, Riot should pay attention to stuff we're saying if it's written in a civil manner, but I don't think they have enough man power ATM. However, their PR also kinda sucks, judging by the comments from Daniel Z Klein, and Riot August.

Maybe they should make browsing boards a punishment for misbehaving employees...?

But yeah, patch 9.14 could've been avoided entirely if they either listened to us and/or decided to fix the bugs before releasing it onto live servers. We are, however, a pretty toxic community.

I have to agree. Riot is committing a cardinal sin -- They are casting their community aside.

What made this game great, what made it what it is today is the community. Our ideas. Our input. Our feedback. Our participation.

You hit the nail on the head when you said seasons 7-9 we've been neglected, because I agree that it was about season 7 when it really started feeling like our voices were being taken away and Riot as a company was just going to do whatever the hell they wanted to do, regardless of what anyone had to say about it.

They've adopted the mentality of knowing "what's best for business" They've adopted the mentality of "People don't know what they want." They've adopted the mentality of "We know you better than you know yourself."

And if I've seen one gaming company go the way of the dodo because of these exact ideologies, I've seen a dozen.

This is a dangerous road you're walking, Riot Games.

The boards are useless, and there are too many snowflake minion mods being overly busy. Tweet directly at the devs instead.

Started waaaay back before season 7. Back in 2014, when Dominion was being removed, is when people should've started paying attention, because that's when everything truly started going downhill in terms of Riot ignoring the opinions of the community.

Most people just said things like "lol wut's Dominion XD" and "now Riot can focus on making Summoner's Rift better."

Welp, not a single thing has improved since then. Pretty much everything they said back then has either been thrown out the window, or proven wrong years later.

Well, they are playing while day work . So they don't have time to listen to any of us. So they buff randomly according to pro plays. If FNC Rekkles get a penta with Sivir. They nerf her. If they don't see Kayn so much. They buff him. That's the game

If you're not Reddit, a professional player, twitter, or some sort of influencer they don't give a Teemo about what you gotta say. It's just the state of most modern day video game developers. They just have forums for people to air out frustrations, but they couldn't be bothered to read what we gotta say.

A lot of the defenders are missing the point. I don't care if Riot is "objectively in the right" on matters they ignore. The fact is, if a crapton of players upvote threads stressing a very specific point, it should be address. Period. "The customer is always right." Maybe their vision of the game expects x or y, but when the people playing the game want z, they should implement z. We are literally the reason League exists. Without players, a game is just a pipe dream.
