Whenever I queue up mid as primary and support as secondary, I always get support. This forces me to go mid and any role that isn't support when I want to play mid. When I end up with my off role, it usually doesn't go too well.

Talisid1 votesYou can get "Auto-Filled" into any role if the queue is slow enough, actually.
It only usually happens at higher Elo where there is a much smaller player population.
DarkRitual1 votesCorrect. However, also worthy noting there'e a message that states "You're guaranteed one of your selected roles this game because you filled or played support recently." So people can play support or fill and then switch to roles they actually want. This will likely change in preseason with the Role Preference system though.
