So why do the servers go down in league of legends a lot I cant even login right now. Seriously I spend money on this game and they cant even get their servers running without them coming down every month or so, that's just ridiculous. Ive seriously thought about just quitting league.

People need to understand that there is NO WAY to defend a server against a DDOS attack. To stop it you would have to make the server stop receiving information, witch doesn't help anything. They could wait like that for the attack to stop but all the hackers would have to do after the server is back up is restart the attack.

Suggest you might find something to help out here: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201761974 . If nothing helps resolve the issues, submit a ticket. Our teams can usually see what happened with a bugsplat if you provide them with the right files. Freezes are often a it trickier because logs aren't always created. ;(
Good luck. Sucks having issues preventing you from enjoying the game.
