LeaverBuster - Why does it apply to Co-op vs AI matcher?
So I don't play often because of my poor internet connection. When I do play I start by trying out a test match, Co-op vs AI, to see if my connection is going to hold for a whole game. During these game I often find out that my connection isn't stable enough to play. I try to finish the games but when I am getting over 20% packet loss it is difficult to do anything.
What I want to know is why this new LeaverBuster system punishes people who leave AI matches at all. I understand it for games against other players but in the AI matches when someone leaves the game a bot also drops out. In this way game play really isn't affected. The players are not going to have a negative experience and often will not even notice the missing player.
With this new system I am being punished for trying to find out if I can even play a match, I am being punished for tying to not negatively affect other players game play experience.
By applying the LeaverBuster system to AI matches you are encouraging me to play normal matches without testing my connection. If I am going to have to wait 10 minutes to play a game I might as well attempt a normal game and hope for the best.
TL;DR - I don't think the LeaverBuster should be applied to AI matches.
