Well his kit in general isn't terribly difficult... succeeding on him early game is the real challenge. I've noticed successful urgods place themselves in lanes where they can harass their opponent viciously and attempt to snowball by catching them with ult.
That said, having no dash and no rapid fire oh shit buttons when it's 2v1, the real skill would be out playing people to survive.
