This is a vid on why toxicity really exists. I am trying to not rage, and have been doing a decent job i think. But when im in trials and bot lane loses tower in first ten min, makes mid rage quit, and then jungler just feeds to make it worse.. O man i have said things that i regret saying. And i usually dont start talkn shitt. Someone will say somthing to me and then ill let them have it lol. I don't know if there is a solution, but i also thought of dynamic que like 3 years ago. i was liek "uhh throwing 5 people in a room and hoping they agree every game is just retarded" So i am sure in a few years ill come back and be like ahhhhh much better

Is there a point the video makes that you can offer in a paraphrased format? I'm not sure people want to sit through the video just to understand a single opinion. Not to mention, everyone knows League has a toxic playerbase.

What's this video supposing it's a result of?

Basically people are toxic because you can't just leave in unfavorable conditions. You have to play it out if you have a feeder, troll, afk and the fact that people can't just leave builds frustration. That's the gist of his point.

Thanks!

Yes, toxicity begets toxicity. It is an unfortunate situation in which the only winning move is not to play.

There's no such thing as a perfect system. It's really unfortunate that the Tribunal went down because it came pretty close, but maybe it just had too much abuse?

I mean this isnt really an unpopular opinion. We just dont know how to combat it. If you are able to leave a game with no repercussions then it would screw up matchmaking. Especially when you think of modes like Rank which should be taken seriously, and people will abuse this type of power by leaving games that might not even have a troll, or someone who isnt playing to their expectation.

Honestly how could you fix this without it being abused to the point where people will just leave games till they get the wins they need to rank up?

The reason I posted this vid is becasue it was comming from a legit diamond player who obviously has the same problem. They just need to find a way to reward players that try hard in a 4v5 or a game where a whole team reports a player. I mean shiit if a player decides to leave halfway throught the game, after 5 min or so a timer should kick in and the game should recongnize it Honestly if i didnt lose elo and feel like complete shit when losing a 4v5, then i might actually try and not rage

But if they did make it to where you didn't lose LP/ELO when ever someone left a game or trolled, fed then it will get abused more often than you can think! It's already a problem now. I wouldn't be surprised if something like this was implemented and see a spike in smurf account being made and playing. People want to get into higher divisions especially with people who believe they should be higher. They want anything to give them a boost and I'm sure a lot of people who play with friends already do something like this.

I think the best system is to allow people to leave anytime they want. I played lots of Starcraf BW before playing LoL. I even played ladder games on a couple of ladders like Gamei and ICCUP. In Starcraft any player can leave a game at any time and it didn't stop people from climbing and it didn't cause overbearing problems. Leaving would count as a loss if the person leaves after 3 minutes into the game. And if the remaining players chose to stay and play it out and manage to win, only they would get the win. I think this thing in League where players can't leave any time they want is actually a bad thing. Forcing players to stay in a game they don't want to play anymore should not be a thing. I would love it if they did away with this whole surrender/leavebuster nonsense.

It might sound bad to let players leave when they want but my experiences playing lots of Starcraft showed me it's nowhere near as bad as people might think it would be. You'd be surprised how willing people are to stick out bad games to the bitter end when they are given a choice. For one thing, Starcraft games NEVER EVER had a problem with afks. In fact, this afk phenomenon was very strange to me when I started playing League. In Starcraft, everyone would simply leave. No fuss or anything. No need to play it out and hope they connect or start a shit storm if they connected late and feed due to being behind. We didn't have this problem at all. They ONLY time you could end up in 4v3/3v2/2v1 was in the late game when losing players started losing hope and leaving. Trolls in games were extremely rare as well because again, they can leave anytime they want to. Most people troll when shit doesn't go their way. In League you're forced to play it out hence you get 25-30 minutes grinding through a game with a troll who probably wanted nothing more than to leave but he can't so he decides to entertain himself by making others miserable. In Starcraft, no one would waste their time trolling because they could simply leave the game and get into another game they may enjoy better.

Just because a system works for one game doesn't mean it will work in another. I'm not sure how Starcraft dealt with a rank system so I cannot comment on that. With how rank is with league though it will get abused especially if you could leave as early as 3mins since usually when people troll they'll say so in champ select.
