new rank system ?

ya know what. If i was rewarded for all the s+'s i got on panth during losses i would never ever ever troll. I would just try hard every game no exception. It be like "well 4 people arnt doing shit, but at least i wont get held back." I think there should be 2 ways to climb instead of just wins/losses. Check it out: So I think wins should give you 50 percent of possible points earned. The other 50% would be based off KDA, damage dealt/taken, objectives. If you get reported by more then one person for any reason this 50% will not apply to you. So if i go 14/0/5 but im an asshole.. then i just get the victory points slowing down my climb.

I think the biggest reason people would have against this is that there is more to the game then just KDA. I understand this. Players that can get kills/stay alive but still dont know when to push, group, get drag, ect will eventually get to a point where they lose enough games and dont climb. This would force them to just learn and get better. I believe the people who climb in this CURRENT system (starting from bronze) have a huge tollerance to bs and just keep floating on, or they mute everyone and use tryn/yorick/trundle to backdoor till they get gold/plat where it actually takes teamwork to win games.

I complained a lot about the orignal "pick order que" and always wondered why they threw 5 people in a room and hoped they agree EVERy game. and guess what. they finally changed it.. im sure a new rankning system will come soon. I mean shitt look at Alex ovechkin from the washington capitols? (if you watch hockey ) He has never won a stanley cup. Does this make him a bad player? He gets paid more because he plays his role 110 percent evey game. People see this and he is rewarded. And trust me, hockey players that can only score are not well respected never win championships. So like hockey, league has a very simple concept but there are is just so much more going on then wins/losses I watched a leona go 4/0/33 the other day and still lose. She gained nothing from this and probably felt pretty helpless I feel like players would learn a lot faser, there would be WAY less trolling and more people focused on playing right. 4v5s would actually not be depressing ( they happen every other game in bronze if you didnt know this)

They need a system that incorporates individual performance. It's absurd that the only thing taken into account for ranked is win/loss. Personally, I think RIOT's just incapable of telling most people how bad they really are at playing the game. But if there's another reason I'd like to hear it because the "it's a team game" excuse got old year 1. Every sport is a team game. But no one goes "well jeter was at a .455 average this year with 97 RBI's which would be great but his team lost so we're going to give him a 0." It's stupid. It's been stupid. We need change. Be it this idea or something else.

thanks for that answer bro Cuz i love this game. I love the potential it has. Ive had games that were pretty even that went back n forth. So fun But ya being stuck with people that cant think can make some people just lose it. Takes a real stud to get through ranked. I was watching this Diamond 1 Pantheon player on youtube try and carry a silver game. He was fed and carrying but you can see how stressed he was. They almost lost. he was like "damn this is so hard and stressfull no one is doing anything.." So all these people defending the current system need to wake up and just accept the game could be a lot better

Could you link the video? I'm sure this is common. Many of the best players out there (or at least the few plats and golds I know) have the hardest times carrying games. I've put out challenges to people to attempt to do what much of the community believes is true but really isn't. Literally had diamonds give up on me when trying to carry me past bronze 3. They'll admit I'm very capable, very good, should at least be platinum level or high gold from my skills, playstyle and team play but even duoing with a great player and either dominating two lanes or crushing bot... it's not enough to counteract the other 60% of the team. Sure we'll win 2/5 maybe but it's the 3/5 mark that hasn't been met with over 15 people trying at this point. I don't know if it's just how riot queue's me specifically (which doesn't make sense) or if it's just an outlier they don't know how to address. Simply put. When a player is good. There's very little chance and you need to be exceptionally good to recover from many of the absolute failures of many teams in the lower ranks. Many people assume on these forums that if you're playing well and put in enough games you'll rank up and it just isn't true. You can do everything right, win lane and not ever have a chance of recovering from the top that just went 0/12 cause they refused to listen to logic.

I agree completely that losing isn't the issue. When a games legit (no afk's, people who feed understand they're making mistakes and at least attempt to recover or ask and are capable of receiving help, team fight appropriately, focus objectives) it's the most fun thing there is in gaming. For better or worse in those games a lot of fun is had on both sides. I think those kinds of games unfortunately represent at most 10% of the games played. Would really throw out this challenge... Anyone in the tournament going on right now or any player out there reading this... if you can win 4/5 times with me on the team I'll shut up and state there isn't a problem with ranked being focused on teams only. I haven't seen it happen because I don't think it can. It's not enough to just be good, there's a lot of luck involved or something less savory. I don't think Riot's wrong with their current system. But there's enough moba's (some of them on mobile) that do a much better job of ranking and incorporating individual performance. And that's my point and I think much of yours. It would be nice to not feel like we're stuck in a place purely due to the performance (or lack thereof) of other people.
