How is full AP Annie support still a thing?
Now that people actively select "support" and only wind up in that role by choice, how do we still have the full AP troll supports who think they're mid jr.?

because sometimes it's better to have a heavy ap user when mid jungler and top decide they all want physical damage champs. at least that way someone is getting past the armor.
They're cheesy players banking on starting a snowball that crushes the entire team, unfortunately they forget duo lanes don't have the best scaling during the laning phase. It's always been a thing, but it seems to be popular again for some reason.
They couldn't have picked a worse time to be selfish. ADCs are so out of control, and a slight lead equals domination.
If the support main sees you going 
, then they know how you're going to lane. The ADC will likely know that you are going to be hyper aggressive and selfish early game too.
It's a bad strategy because the supports are supposed to support, when one of them tries to duo bot lane, it gets messy normally. The support could have all the kills, but no CS. What's the point?
They're building AP and sacrificing their role as a support, so that means little to no map control, but also their team's late game potential is ruined. It's always better to have a fed ADC, especially now.
It's a lot easier to build against a fed Annie than a fed Vayne.
This is all assuming the full AP support and ADC don't both go down in flames.

Ever since Riot changed the gold income items back in Season 3 and continued updating them to what we have now, the traditional supports that built support became less popular because now you can pick AP champions to go bot lane because you can actually get gold now. Go back to season 2 where it was a lot tougher to gain gold passive so ranged AD + AP bot lanes were not common because you needed to gold get AP items.
Since it's a lot easier to get gold passively now, you can pick a mage or a carry bot lane to "support" your other lane partner who is farming the minions. I mean you can even go "support" twitch (get blue income item and upgrade it to 2nd lvl only, or even get frost queen since it's so damn strong) then build ad/attack speed. Tada, you now have 2 ranged ad carries that laned together. The same with mages. They take the income item and lane with their partner (usually ranged ad) and build ap items. Boom, you have a mage bot lane in addition/instead of mid lane.
As long as it's easy to get gold like it is now, bringing champions that rely on a lot of gold to deal damage are always going to be a thing.
Yeah, I hate most AP supports. Not only do they not give the adc any benefits at all, but they don't help the team at all either. They are basically a MIDLaner who doesn't want to have to endure the early game by themselves and instead rely on their adc to take all the damage and support them. Like all the velkoz supports who go teleport flash and go 10/2/6 and are proud of their kda.....and blame their adc for feeding. If you are playing one of these "supports" then you probably don't know how to ward or peel either, and chances are you won't be able to save your ADC ever. These players just don't accept that as a support, your adc is more important than you. Plus the ks. Just.....don't.
Edit: also support items such as (zeke, solari, randuins,) and way more times get sacrificed by DEATHFRICKINGCAP.
The reason people go AP annie is because ICEqueen is op as hell, and all AP supports build it anyway, so you can scale from a support into an AP with relative ease giving more chance to carry
for me teemo supports are just as bad. shrooms have no sight range. the teemo supports i get poison dart cs and make it hard for me to last hit. as for annie supports i have 0 tolerance and will ban annie or teemo if i see the support even try to say they are a legit support. literally over the last 3 seasons i have had 1 teemo who bought a sightstone and used it. as for annie all of em built a death cap long before any support type items if any at all. i vited you up for trying to even tr and talk about this.
Because it's fun. I don't like Annie supp specifically, but I do like full AP Bard. The 2 shots are too op.
