The Most Annoying Way to win a game.

Recently playing against a Gangplank as Garen, just for fun with a friend, I encountered the most boring match of league of legends in history.

Gangplank wanted to play a pretty passive lane, which is alright I guess. I ramped up, got ganked a few times, and continued to drool from my stipulating boredom. Moving into mid to late game, our Thresh decided to just troll lane, so it was whatever, me and my friend might have been able to carry it. However. A little Tristana just loved being where no one else was. Split pushing constantly, just constantly. Never doing anything else. The enemy team lost every team fight because they didn't have their adc with them, but beyond that, they still won. They won, with a Tristana 4/14, because they could right click a turret for half a minute while their team kept us off their turrets, often dying completely in the process. I understand that what Tristana did won them the game. I understand that they probably would have lost had they not. But letting crap like this happen is infuriating. I played to the best of my ability, albeit with Garen, which a trained monkey could play, and got rewarded by losing because Tristana just wanted to win a match, rather than wanting to play a game. I could understand this happening if it was in ranked. Then we WANT to win, and any team stupid enough to get backdoored so hard deserves to lose in ranked games. This was a normal game. A. Normal. Game. I get that some people get their kicks out of just seeing that Victory screen at the end, but people on the other team agreed, it was stupid, boring, they felt just as annoyed about it by the end of the game as us. It seriously just... Shouldn't be allowed at this point. We lost to split pushing because we were all flumoxed by someone doing something like this in a normal game. It's just ridiculous. And how can people be so rewarded for playing badly? Tristana won the game, but doing so required nothing in terms of skill or ability, they died so many times because of it, but in the end were allowed to do it. I'm not saying Riot should do anything about it. I'm saying the player base as a community shouldn't be alright with it. I find it hard to believe that people can draw any level of fun from that. It boggles my mind, I'd rather play a high risk, high reward type of game, rather than simply have people be able to do this crap. I want to keep ranting and typing, it'll probably just make me look like an idiot, but I'm so utterly confounded by this happening. If I play a fun game. I will say GG. If I lose because of stupid, random... I'll stop... We shouldn't just say GG for when you win. You shouldn't say GG because you stomped the enemy team. Because that's perverting what it means. Good, implies positivity, happiness. Fun. For both sides. And guess what? That Tristana said GG at the end. Riot should... I don't know... I just got the impression that they wanted to cultivate a community where GG means that things were played fairly and won well. That when someone wins, and works hard to do it, that's something to be proud of. Letting crap like this continue, it's ridiculous of the community to let us continue. We lost because we weren't allowed to win, and that doesn't mean that the enemy team really won in any sense. They lost too, they lost fun, they lost time, they lost any semblance of actual adversity.

League of legends is an objectively focused game, right? How is it objectively focused and interesting to simply zerg toward anything and anything they can shoot? How is that fun? How is that interesting? How is that League of Legends? Where are the legends? The plays? The epic battles? How can that possibly be a GG?

really ? You're crying about one game where someone decided they wanted to win? I get the part about the game being less fun and maybe the high damage and low threat towers have is part of it?...heck..there's tons of threads about it. This though...this is just sour grapes.

I find split pushing tactics to be interesting... for it to work you have to know when to push and when not to... e.g. you push, they send 3 to get you, you disappear. Next time they don't respond, you get a tower. It's not "free win" by any means. So I don't see what's wrong with it, whether normal or ranked game. If you don't enjoy this, perhaps you'd do better to play ARAM instead? There is definitely no spit pushing there, it is teamfight focused mode...
