League’s Champion Banning System Is ALMOST Perfect if Not for Two Things

I am both a Dota and League player, so I have some experience with both banning systems (and I was someone who painfully waited for the game to increase the ban count from six to 10 for literally years).

Anyway, I overall like League's banning system in pretty much every way EXCEPT for two aspects. Compared to Dota's ban nomination system, it's a lot better. It's quick and fast, but I think these two changes could be added to make it that much stronger.

  1. League needs to show what the enemy players are banning simultaneously.

  2. It needs to remove DUPLICATE bans.

If League were to fix these aspects out of the blue, I think it would make the system perfect. I know some people are going to argue that the banning system doesn't need to be tweaked further, but I believe it wouldn't break the game or anything.

Seeing what the enemy team is banning (especially when the process is already so fast) wouldn't be that much of a difference. I know the argument is Riot is scared of people playing "chicken" with the bans, but meh. People who will do that will try to do that anyway. Hover over that Teemo until you actually ban someone you really want to ban. It wouldn't change anything.

Furthermore, the game already has 145 champs. The idea that a champ could get banned twice seems a bit absurd when they might as well let the 145 (and counting) total receive more of a dent.

And that's why they won't implement it. It doesn't change anything. It isn't even a "quality of life" improvement. It would be completely useless if everyone showed they were banning a random champ and in the last 3 sec they all swapped.

so if two people ban the same champion, who gets the extra ban? first problem i see is already an unfair advantage for whoever gets it.
