Riot, We really need a loss prevention system.

Riot continually declines to comment any differently on this topic except saying "it can be abused"

You guys are a billion dollar company and im sure you have brilliant minds there, if a player rage quits from level one because he/she died for fb and never comes back, im pretty sure thats a leave, not to abuse...

If a player goes through a ranked game WHILE IN THE LEAD and 2 players who are a duo DC for ~10 minutes, im pretty sure its not abuse. Why cant the system at least give a loss forgiven to the players who stay the whole way? OR at least do let it tank their MMR as much, say -50% penalties? you guys are brilliant and have done great things, why isnt a loss prevention system implemented yet? Yeah, im kinda mad here, i lost my gold series to leavers then once again lost my gold iv series to leavers, not only that, but feeding is such a huge problem in ranked

Im not talking about dying 5-10 times because you're having a bad game though, Im talking about players who go something like 0-16-0 and do absolutely nothing for the team. if it appears that a loss is out of ones control, why are we so severly punished for it? :/ kinda fed up with this game rn.

But DC happens once in a while. God, I know my client crashed in a few games, and it took me like 5 minutes to come back *. Or what if I have an power failure. Or connection failure ... it already sucks, you don't want to pile up triple loss on a player that is already a victim of bad luck.

So you can't just super-punish AFK. Because you can't know the circumstances, and you don't want to super-punish someone that didn't deserve it. There's really no point.

And if you don't super punish AFK, there will always be abuse of a pardon system.

  • Yeah, 5 minutes happen pretty fast, and already put you at a good disadvantage. Loading - Crash - won't reconnect - Relaunch client - still won't connect - kill process, try again - still won't work - reboot computer, - finally work - load game ... oups already missed a few minutes of game. I don't get my jungle pull, and the enemy jungle took the occasion to take both of my buffs.

then its no different than a loss for us, even though you crashed you would receive a regular penalty for lp loss,but team mates might receive --xx %

Triple LP loss for afk's or DC's - done.

Yea, I just played my first ranked game (provisionals) and lost because of an AFK and my whole team fed when I was 2/0/1 with Vi, but they fed so much that I went 2/5/2. In the grand scheme of things, AFKs happen so infrequently (and the same chance for you as your opponent) that it shouldn't matter.

I'm saying this after losing a ranked game last night where I was support and my ADC was afk for the first ten minutes.

thats the thing, if you play regularly everyday at least one game everyday has an AFK. when is happens in a series its frustrating, the last time the enemy had an afk in a series of mine was in season 4, yet its already happened about 5 times where my team leaves this season.

EDIT: looking at your stats, you dont know this struggle because you have less than 25 ranked games played...

This isn't my only account. This was my newest smurf that became my main. I've been playing since around 2011. I do know the struggle.

Edit: Just looked up the date. I started playing right before Cassiopia was released in December of 2010. Started playing ranked before Jarvan was released in March of 2011.

AFK/DC : Yes I agree people should NOT be punished for loss involving team mates who AFKed or Dced as the whole match is just unfair.

Feeder: No, I disagree completely. Everyone has bad games, sometimes that person is on your team, but sometimes that person is on the opposing team. If you are asking for loss prevention for people feeding on your team, I'd say people should NOT gain LP if there is a feeder on the opposing team.

its not a bad game when somebody nose dives into a 1v5 when they were all visible. thats not a bad game, thats either bronze skill or intentional.

I call that "initiating". It means you're supposed to follow up after the tank does that. Not run away and then go "rammus stop feeding".

its not initiating if you are completely alone and everyone else isnt within fighting range. stop making your own circumstances, i know what ive seen. stop trying to justify it.

so when you dive in 1v5 its a bad decision? a bad decision might be something like a 1v2 and losing but 1v5 cmon dude nobody can win that...

Again, everything has the problem of perspective. If i were playing Amumu, Nasus, Sej, Zac, Leona, or some tanky champions, I see 5 people, to which I think we have the advantage, I will initiate but no one on team would follow up. Now is that 1v5 dive? Yes. Is it intentionally feeding? No.

"bronze skill" being bronze myself you no longer have any respect from me and now I dont support you in this idea, lost series to do leavers? good ill say what you high elo jerks always say when bronzies complain about it "Get gud m8"
