Current Changes to Infinity Edge
Hello there. This is about the current changes to Infinity Edge
or much referred to as IE. So in the current PBE cycle, it's been "reverted".
PBE Version: +75 AD +25% Critical Strike Chance UNIQUE Passive: Critical strikes deal 225% damage instead of 200%
Now...I don't have much a problem of it being reverted and all, but it feels as though that Unique Passive should have the current Stormrazor clause attached to it. What do I mean? Currently, Stormrazor has a Unique Passive that makes it scale with Critical Strike Chance.
I feel like the Unique Passive should be like this: "Critical strikes deal 150% (+ Any Critical Strike Chance above 25%) damage instead".
Now I know some are going to be like "What's the problem with it just being reverted as it is?". My problem is that it's going to be this whole song and dance of "Whoever gets this item and gets "lucky" with their autos wins" like it was before. I also feel like this should really have a scaling effect instead of being a flat-out damage up if you were to crit "randomly". I don't want to deal with the fact that if any ADC can get this item early enough, it's essentially kind of a lose-lose situation for the opposing side. Again, up to "chance".
I just had to get this out because I hate how trades/fights can be decided by this and chance. As soon as you get crit by someone with 25% Critical Strike Chance, it feels like you lost the trade/fight already.
Yes, I know. This was how it was before. But it essentially also means we're going to go back to the old problems of Critical Strike Chance.
Thanks for reading this little rant of mine and hope you perhaps can comment how they should approach this in a different way.
