Low Spec Mode seems Slower than regular?

My computer is able to handle both regular and low spec mode but for a while I just used low spec mode by default just because my purpose is to play the actual game, I don't get too hung up over how I get into the game or what flairs or creative artsy fartsy designs Riot comes up with to appease my eyes within the client. BUT, recently I have been playing with low spec mode off and it seems the client actually responds faster than in low spec mode. I've noticed getting into lobby is a little faster with all the animation but more importantly after a game, I am getting to the honor page a lot faster and also getting to the end of game results page a lot faster. Not sure if its just one of those things where its my computer or if more people have been experiencing this. Now in the beginning I believe it was the opposite, low spec mode was faster and more fluid than the regular mode, now its reverse. Either way, guess I'll keep Low Spec Mode off for now.
