Youmuu's Ghostblade

Is there anything changes upcoming for this item? I know it is not overpowered but I feel like the 15% crit chance is out of place on it. The champions that usually use it do not even use the 15% crit chance.

My solution to crit would just be to have critical chance dedicated items. The lowest crit chance possible should be 20% on an item thus removing crit from any items with 10% or less. Having critical chance dedicated items means you are paying for that critical chance and not getting it coupled with somthing as a bonus. When you get a kill because of your crit chance, it should be because you invested into crit chance.

Master Yi, Zed, Fiora, Lucian, Tryndamere, Talon can all make use of that little bit of crit. I think it is a pretty solid item to be honest. It is super cost efficient, and has a really good active.

Zed does not build crit usually, you do occasionally see IE on him, but the reason zed buys youmuus is not for the crit, nor does he need the crit. Same goes for fiora and talon. The only thing that 15% is doing is either hurting them or benefiting them WAY to much from a lucky crit.

I mean......that is true. But it is also true of crit as a general stat in the game. Benefiting from a lucky crit is like the goal of building crit chance. Why does Infinity Edge get a pass? What about ghostblade specifically deserves your dislike?

The main goal of infinity edge is to enhance critical strike chance and damage. The main goal of youmuus is not. Youmuus is pretty much only used for the armor pen and active. The goal of crit chance is not to benefit from a lucky crit, its goal is to benefit from longer fights, to deal greater damage over the course of fights not have one lucky critical strike with 15% crit chance on an item you did not even buy for the crit chance.

I think crit is an unhealthy stat to be put on all champions because it manufactures success and failure via luck. This problem is exacerbated when the stat is put on assassins; a crit from Zed during an all in gives him a kill that he should not have gotten.

I don't think I agree that Infinity Edge deserves a pass, but I think I understand why you think ghostblade shouldn't have crit on it.
