Xin Zhao rework suggestion
Since the rework is not live yet, may I suggest another way to rework Xin Zhao:
Passive: 3 talon strike: xin zhao basic attack and audacious charge add a challenge stack to his main target. Only one target can be challenged at a time. Basic attack and audacious charge against target with 3 stacks will critical strike, dealing x additional damage and knock the target up. Enemy can only be knock up once every x second.
Q: wind become lightning: First cast: slash in the target direction for x damage Second cast: thrust forward for x damage and slow the targets
W: battle cry: for 2.5 seconds, xin zhao gain x attack speed and each on hit attack heal him for x health. Basic attack against champion increase the duration by 1 second for up to 7 seconds total.
E: audacious charge: charge toward a target. If the target does not have 3 stacks of challenge, xin zhao will pierce and slow enemies behind it. Dealing x damage and slow all target hit.
R: crescent slash: xin zhao slash around him, knocking all enemies back and create a zone to block damages coming from outside the zone.
Differences from current rework:
- move q to passive, allow knock up by charging to a target already with 2 stacks, so xin zhao can decide whether charge in first or save the charge for later stickiness
- make new slash/thrust abiliy into 2 parts so xin can decide where and when to cast. Provide situation where he may save the thrust to apply the slow later when enemy knock outside of aa range.
- make the charge feel less like jayce q, the new combo is e + slash q could apply the old feeling
- short battle cry duration to make xin zhao calculate if he will able to stick the target for 2.5 second. Give his oponent way to counter such as knock xin back while he just charge in and activate the boost, leave him waste it.
- ulti no longer spare the challenged target, so he need to think when apply the knock back. Create an identity that "hey i'm invulnerable if you attack from outside, if you want to duel me step inside this arena." If you want to keep the old single out concept, perhaps the ulti could notate that enemy who recently knock up will not be knock back.
