Regarding Lucian

So, I finally decided to try a game with Lucian. I have dabbled with many adc's. I'm by no means an elite end all be all hard core adc. But, I'd like to say my mechanics ((when I'm not mega lagging )) are fairly legit. But anyways, onto the topic. After messing around with him that game, even against another Lucian and Lux. I ultimately came in favor. But, compared to other ADCS . . . Lucian is blatantly too strong.

I've played a lot of the other adcs, that includes their troll builds to help out with mechanics. And from early to late game Lucian is stronger than all of them. He's one of the only adcs I didn't even feel bad about not buying a G.A, because I didn't even need it, I hardly even needed to flash. Part of this is due to his build actually being complemented with youmuus and botrk helping both his ult + his abilities + auto attacks. They complement him better than any other adc.

However, what honestly makes him op? His passive. If he gets a lucky double crit in lane with his passive, the lane phase is already over. To explain: I just casually strolled into bot lane, last hit a couple minions and the enemy lucian went to attack me, my lux binded him, I q'd him, and then autod him ((passive proc)) and my auto, and passive both crit him. And with just that one little combo Lucian had to pop both heal, and flash because it dropped him to 10 life. And, by the time he healed up from my onslaught, I already had a level advantage and Q + auto + w auto all in one nice continuous flow dropped him from half to 0. I can't name any other adc that can do that at level 2. It only took 1.5 seconds due to attack resets between abilities.

What makes this all the more toxic is a good chunk of damage is placed in his abilities . . . so tons of armor pen is actually encouraged. So, building more like an adc caster, and less like a carry actually gives him ad caster burst, and his passive simulates additional adc sustained damage that actually hits disturbingly hard as well. Combine that with high mobility, and late game his ult being able to net you a triple kill by killing 3 squishies trying to run away from 70% life to 0 ((his ult does 3,350 damage with full build))

So, what I highly recommend is his passive getting a two second timer in between each use, and his passive NOT being able to crit. Because honestly, let's face it. He's more or less Graves combined with Tristana and can melt anyone with a simple Q + auto if they're not running defense items. If they have one defense item, he need only add a W + auto, and then it's done anyways. Even Vayne has to hit them at least three times, and even tumble + sometimes ult in between that . . . Lucian just has to auto + q + auto, it creates a chain of four attacks all flowing together in less than 2 seconds. With the two second timer, and passive not being able to crit, it will at least tone him down to the point where he can still melt squishies like butter . . . but he can't butcher bruisers in just a couple seconds.

About the only champion that was really even giving me a problem was Cho'gath, but that was only because his silence made it so I couldn't chain passive procs, and he built almost nothing but armor. But, if he stood and tried fighting . . . I could even kill a chogath with ninja tabi + frozen heart + randuins + thornmail with full stacks in about . . . 10 seconds. The only one that could probably beat that timer is Vayne, and that's only because she is a legitimate tank killer. But, regarding everything else, Lucian does everyone's job better.

And no, he does not have a high skill cap. I don't know where people are getting this idea . . . he's actually really easy to use once you start playing him more like a ranged Riven, and less like an ADC. If you do everything right, and build the right items . . . you almost will never have to flash. I flashed a total of three times the entire match. Between dash + botrk + youmuus you can get away from just about any situation. And, even if they do follow you, your ult will kill them while they chase you. And, you can turn a 3 man gank into a triple kill . . . it's almost . . . degrading how easy Lucian actually is.

I won't be playing him again, because he actually is that broken, and I feel bad even playing him.

Tl;dr: Lucian's passive is broken. Make it so it can only proc once every two seconds, and not be able to crit.

There is one adc who can stand up to the nightmare that is Lucian. His name is Thresh Draven.

Because A. That post was slightly lore based, in that Thresh is Lucian's arch-enemy.

And B. It takes a very long time before Thresh gets really, really scary as adc.

I will admit, Thresh can be a really intimidating ADC. But, offbranded adcs aside . . . with my very brief experience with playing Lucian. He is far too strong. And 85% of it is due to his passive.
