A long detailed guide on how you can tell someone is boosted.

It starts with a match.

Due to the boards + Riot's inconsistencies regarding boosters + "shaming" people. I'm going to dedicate the time to edit out a lot of stuff for once.

I am going show exactly the information I give to Riot when I send in tickets. And how you yourself can find out whose being boosted, etc etc.

Here I ran into a person that was obviously boosted.

You can tell who I had suspicions of via the damage chart.

From there, I went into OP.GG

Noticed a giant spike of mmr in one single day.

To

By day 2 he was plat 1 with 39 lp.

in 2 days he went from gold 5 to almost diamond.

With that. I proceeded to look at matches.

https://imgur.com/BhZ9v8O

Apparently, he does really well on Nautilus + Panth and uses

summoner 4 On the D key specifically.

Take note. These are during the time of the giant MMR spike

And then I caught it.

https://imgur.com/vEgk2b5

Notice the boost stops. The person in question quits playing for several days.

Logs back on, and now not only switches summoner spells, but is no longer going panth, or Nautilus.

On top of that, he proceeds to out right feed too.

https://imgur.com/xTGvUNh

And has yet to switch back his summoner spells back to having flash on the D key.

So,you know for those of you who are blatantly blind to the obvious signs.

I dig even further for the "Well you know, maybe he just felt like switching them + champion roster and doing very well because of Flash is tactically better on the D key and it helps him win games durr durr."

So, to LoLKing I go.

Naturally I find

https://imgur.com/PtkvgKt

don't mind me bro. Just jumping from silver 1 to gold after tilting with silver 5 mmr, and then skyrocketing to plat in 1 day, and then almost to diamond in another day.

So okay.

We also know that the "actual" owner of this account primarily plays ADC this season.

but here's something.

Season2 https://imgur.com/iXWZGsJ

Season3 https://imgur.com/KXdhtCf

Season 4 https://imgur.com/jCq9NtJ

Season 5 https://imgur.com/5m8tY1d

there they are. The sudden roster change.

This guy definitely didn't "pay" for a boost. It was most likely some diamond 3/diamond 2 dude that boosted the guys account for like 30 to 50 dollars.

Otherwise. This is what a professional boost looks like. The kind you pay 200 to 300 dollars per division for.

his chart would look like this.

http://imgur.com/Cz4GuAs

No reksai

http://imgur.com/eiJD0Ea

"I'm a Reksai + Kindred all star at an mmr I've never been in before :B"

http://imgur.com/wPGXQtN

I personally played with this "booster" ((I was playing with the guy boosting the account. I knew he was not the account owner because the regular account owner uses flash smite. When he was playing Kindred + Reksai he was using smite flash. ))

so, I just went digging to find a person who is REALLY good at Reksai.

And Voila.

http://imgur.com/TnljdEf

Then go deeper.

and.

Boom.

This player also does Smite/flash. Mains Reksai, and has the same/similar consistency. This is the same player almost 100% guaranteed. However, this is definitely not his main.

Anyways.

Yeah.

I hope this helps you see generally what I look for when I come to the conclusion on if someone is being boosted, or not.

TL;DR.

My Tristana was boosted. She will also go unbanned, and nothing will happen to her because Riot doesn't give a fuck, nor will they take the time to look.

I am going to send ALL OF THIS into a ticket too. I guarantee nothing will happen to this player.

The questions remain... Why pay for boosting at all? Why pay someone else to play a game for you? Wouldn't you rather have the satisfaction of attaining plat/diamond yourself? I just don't understand these people at all.

But... they do ban in waves.

A lot of people post stuff like this and try to shame Riot, and I don't sympathize with that angle. Riot will NEVER get rid of even 0.05% of the boosters if they try to ban one at a time. That's WHY they do waves of bans. So they can get more of them out.

In all likelihood, they aren't ignoring this post (or the others you mention in replies). They might be using it to try to adapt their systems to catch a lot more people. Take heart and trust the Rito! They care as much as we do about this, and they are working to fix it. That's something I would actually bet my life on.

Really interesting post, but you're sort of just letting people know how to boost without being caught rather than showing people how to catch boosters.

Really interesting post, you clearly put a lot of effort into this stuff, but it's completely unnecessary. Honestly, you must've been told this before. Riot can detect boosters. They just choose to ban in waves, for most people several months after the boosting occurred. The reason they do that is to prevent boosters and scripters from learning how they're being detected. It's a systemic answer to a systemic problem.

This is stuff everyone can see. But Riot goes far deeper than what you can see. They know your button presses/ key strokes. Every time you click or do a button combo with a champion, they record it. You can't find that yourself, but Riot has it. If anything this is the main tool for them to see if you're boosting. Every person has a habit on how they click/react/press.

Summoner spells placement isn't a proof. My boyfriend's flash switches side depending on what the other spell is.

The rest is true.

You need a life. I don't know how to put this any other way...

The saddest thing is boosting is useless for the guy boosted. He'll just chain feed, probably blame his team because he's retarded and sink down back to the elo he belongs to.

It would be easier to care if you didn't spend so much time exaggerating to the point where you're constantly lying.

...So? It's a game. The only benefit they'd be getting is an $8 skin they don't deserve, that Riot doesn't make money from because they don't sell it anyway. Woopdidoo. Then they get the all-too fun experience of losing every single match they play, because they didn't think being with higher-level players would mean they have to play against higher-level players.

To top it off, they paid someone to boost the account, all for a shitty skin and the chance to lose every match they play from now until they go back into ranked and lose.

Sure, their allies lose the game too, but that's as likely to happen as someone leaving.

Oh, do tell what I lie about =D. I'd like to know.

Too numerous to list them all, but in general nearly every sentence that has the phrase one or two days.

"OMG, he went up over a tier in just two days. Look at this picture" <picture clearly shows a period of over a month>
