To Ryze mains in patch 6.3

Many of the experienced, skilled Ryze players dislike the limit of five spells that can be cast during Arcane Mastery's supercharged state. It greatly lowers the potential of Ryze, therefore lowering his skill ceiling.

"What's the reason of learning and trying a champ if Riot cap's my plays just so I can't be better than a silver guy, new to Ryze ?"

The problem with Ryze is that he does poorly in low ranks, while being broken when used by very skilled summoners. I think this new change will not only make narrow the gap between bronze and challengers, but add more depth to his play style.

Hear me out! I was also very sad (although some were quite joyed) when I heard about his spell cap. His only asset was his ability to deal damage while locking down a target, and this patch took that away. In return, they lowered the cool down on his ultimate, which seems to hardly compensate pro Ryzes for the nerf. But, I believe the flat reduction on Desperate Power's cool down, can be used by those high ranked summoners too.

I think that Ryze's lowered cool down on ultimate allows him to be a much more mobile mage in exchange for his damage in big fights. With 45% cool down reduction, his ultimate lasts only 16.5 seconds. This means he can pop off his ultimate, weave quickly into the fray, bust out a few spells, and then run off, with his ultimate off cool down. Before, Ryze needed to stand and pull off a few rotations to get his ultimate off cool down. This made him susceptible to abilities that would be hard to land on a moving target.

Also, Ryze can wave clear and easily farm in the mid game with Desperate Power, leading him to have a greater gold advantage.

I have been down voted on other posts before. If you down vote, please tell me why. I put my sincere opinions in this post. Why do you agree or disagree? I personally think this new change makes Ryze more complex.

I miss old ryze he was my first main and they ruined it. I'm not super mechanical but didn't mind the skilshot. I loved the pure button mash combos and deleting he used to be able to do. Procking the dang Sheild is hard and still don't have the hang of it
