A way to fix ADC's, Crit, and the problem the changes made.

Disclaimer: I am by no means a pro, or even close to good. I am about as good as a chimp who recently found out that he could walk. So here we go.

First would be to revert the item changes, with a few exceptions. Keep the builds the same (IE excluded in this) as they are currently, but make the stats feel useful. Remove the new ADC item that gives Crit chance for not auto attacking for 7 seconds. That would make my changes extremely powerful mid/Early game depending on the way the game goes.

So for IE, Revert the passive back to 50% Extra crit dmg. Remove the true dmg and Keep the critical strike chance off. Build it from BF, Pickaxe, and Longsword. Make the item worth The Combine cost +400 Gold. Since the only champions would would abuse this would be Ashe, and Jhin. Could maybe nerf their dmg a bit. I don't know how to balance them around this. If anyone has any idea's put em below. This would bring back, Twitch, Trist, Cait, and other Auto champions being able to hit a late game spike and be relevant again.

For Those who would build the Caster Route but go IE (Ez, Kaisa, Corki) the removal of crit chance from the IE would make it not as good to buy early or after Triforce, or their first buy item.

Last would be Crit chance. I feel like regardless of what is done, Crit chance will always be needed early on. And this proposed change wouldn't be to far from what I think you at Riot were trying to do. Cap the spike from AD's Early, while trying to compensate for that later. But in actuality you did the opposite and made AD's useless at all stages of the game unless you didn't need to build crit.

Now I know I know, "But you are just a lowley Gold top laner, Why do you care so much?" is going to be asked. So here's the answer. I was ONCE an ADC person. I love the role, but when I was not climbing I played a different role and got "decent" at it, and climbed with it. So ADC went away for me. I want to be able to play bot lane again. I really do, but the way AD's are now, they aren't extremely viable.

So Riot. Please. I don't want huge reverts. I don't want insane ADC's doing 1k crits at level 6. I want ADC's to be viable options. I want IE to feel like a worth while buy after 1 Zeal item, not waiting till 45 minutes to get IE since without 100% Crit it's useless. Games now last 20-25 minutes. By that time, AD's aren't able to get ahead enough to do what they were designed for... Being the Carries.

Remove crit from the game.

Toxic RNG gameplay element that's literally impossible to balance, as we can see with the recent changes.

I kind of agree. But... I think nerfing crit ADCs is fine lategame. That's where ADCs were a problem. Keep the ADC alive and you win. I think Riot wanted every class to have an equal chance to carry/influence the game, but before all your team had to do is be a meatshield for the ADC and you will win because of how much damage those crit ADCs did in the past.

So I think the IE nerf was fine. Overall ADC lategame should be nerfed so they do about as much damage as any other damage class/role whether it's burst or sustained damage.

The part I disagree with Riot about tho is the nerf to the cost of crit items as a whole. They already nerfed the damage, don't make it even harder to get to that already nerfed powerspike.

I think the crit ADCs deserve a mid to early game buff to make them stronger earlier on or to make it easier to get to this powerpike. Their lategame is stil lfine. But getting there is impossible due to games being over faster (which is fine), crit items costing more and crit ADCs not being strong early on.

Right now everything else is good through the whole game. Crit ADC's suck early but are good lategame. Crit ADCs need help early game. Either through individual buffs or item changes (reduce cost of crit items or other changes that makes crit ADCs stronger earlier on.)

Honestly, as DOPA said, adc's are finally at a point that they are balanced. Weak early, and good late game. The only problem now, is that everything else was buffed into oblivion that ADCs are now overshadowed.

So what Riot should do next, honestly, is take items, gut all of the free damage they give, and then see how everything plays out.

If things are still an issue, then they need to take a look at nerfing champions.

Items are the sole reasons, 99% of the time champions are broken.
