Voice chat is easier to communicate and way less toxic

Why doesn't league have it yet? Probably because Riot doesn't want to pay for transferring voice coms.

Ayy, people like you are the reason we won't have a build-in voice chat.

1.Get Curse 2. find people in your game (simple) 3. talk to them - riot supports curse

Here's a good discussion about why League doesn't have a default voice chat option (and no plans to implement it): http://www.surrenderat20.net/2015/04/red-post-collection-urf-q-on-april-6th.html

Stopped reading when Lyte started spewing bullshit statistics. What he's really saying is "we don't want to spend the money for more bandwidth"

FTFY.

Every single reason he lists is why I don't want voice chat in League. My wife and I are already on the fence about some of our other games that have voice chat and how we feel about it. The biggest difference with those games is you join a sub-community you like. You like a particular server with particular people and your play with them. They become friends if you like them, and you move on to a different server if you don't. League's not built that way. You have no control over who you get paired up with. Add to this that people who normally vent frustrations in ways that are OK by League standards, such as telling at their screen instead of typing it out, are now a problem for the community.

And before you jump to say "just mute them" or "don't use it then", you know as well as I do from playing with premades that communication drops off sharply when some players are on voice chat but not all. People don't tell you what they're doing in champion select, they don't ping, and they only type at you to tell you just how much you screwed up their plan that you didn't know about.

Does Curse Voice use a central server, or is it all per-to-per? Because last I heard Riot was looking at Curse Voice.

Ya, they invested 30 million into Curse recently. But you know...

OP - They don't want to spend money on it

I'm guessing Riot is scared that it will cause more Toxicity in The league community because people can yell and scream into mics or troll( Use the mute -_-)

Dota 2 has Voice chat, but you don't see people yelling and raging in mics now do you. Well not In my games though.

I'm guessing Riot can't trust the League community to use it properly, anything can be abused once you think about it.

riot is too lazy to program it or lyte hasn't developed a system that can monitor voice chat 24/7 or both

and that's about it

You nerds can't even name a single game with voice chat that is more toxic than league of legends text chat. That's because they have voice chat and not text chat.

checkmate atheists.
