People have complained about Syndra's Q damage nerf and how it takes 3450 AP to equalize it with the old Q's damage. This is TRUE. What is not taken in account is the low difference of AP scaling between the two abilities. Old Q ACTIVE: Syndra conjures a Dark Sphere at the target location, dealing magic damage to all enemies hit, which then remains for 6 seconds. MAGIC DAMAGE: 50 / 95 / 140 / 185 / 230 (+ 60% AP) TRANSCENDENT BONUS: Dark Sphere deals「 264.5 (+ 69% AP) 」magic damage against enemy champions. New Q ACTIVE: Syndra conjures a Dark Sphere at the target location, dealing magic damage to all enemies hit, which then remains for 6 seconds. MAGIC DAMAGE: 50 / 95 / 140 / 185 / 230 (+ 70% AP)

As you can see, there is only a difference of 1% AP scaling difference between the 2. That means that the damage lost is only in the base damage, 34.5 magic damage, additional AP reduced the difference by 1 or 2 damage.

Yeah, but you spam Q. So it's more that you lose a ton of damage after a few Q's

I think it should be a .75 ratio. That would be only a 10 damage nerf at 400 AP. Granted, it shouldn't be nerfed at all, but at least this isn't as insane.

Even a .8 ratio wouldn't really be that over-the-top. However, having that much power in a basic ability is getting a tad ridiculous.

It's now been buffed to a .75 AP ratio, so it catches up to old Q damage at 575 AP, which is very much achievable. That's the balance problem fixed. Now to try and satisfy the experienced Syndra players after gutting her difficulty.
