But why is Vayne allowed to exist in her current state? You get her any hard engage or any decent peel and she just stomps face for the win. She counters tanks (health shred and hella mobility), she counters assassins- the guys who are supposed to be able to stop ADCs, yeah them- with her stealth every two seconds and condemn to prevent anyone ever jumping on her, and her kiting ability makes it impossible for any melee champ except maybe Jax to do jack shit about her.

I just don't understand why such a safe champion (cry me a river about your 550 range) is allowed to deal such ridiculous damage (even for Riot's special pet class, the ADC). And talking about an ADC's relatively weak early game is completely pointless when the support is really the one you need to worry about in lane- Thresh Vayne will stomp Draven Heimerdinger any day (though honestly, with so many supports that complement Vayne excellently I don't understand this particular argument in the slightest).

Because under the right circumstances she becomes reaaaallly useless, long range teams are her weakness.

But her design is aids and should've never been released.

Holy Christ... I know that I'll get downvoted to hell for this... but let's go ahead and throw out some simple math.

Vayne's true damage with max rank W is 60+8% max health.

If you ignore the 60 base, it would take 12.5 procs to kill a target (assuming no physical damage on ANY auto attacks).

With max attack speed, this would take 15 seconds to get off the 39.5 auto attacks to kill the enemy champion, REGARDLESS OF HOW TANKY THEY ARE.

How many "tanks" do you know, that can't kill an ADC in 15 seconds assuming same level and build depth?

Now, if Vayne would take 12.5 procs to kill people without ANY physical damage, but she kills them in all of 2-3 procs WITH her physical damage... [sideways glance] ...is it starting to make sense to you yet?

Vayne's true damage isn't what is OP, it's her 70 AD steroid on her ultimate, the physical damage amp on her Q, and the base+scaling of her E when she hits you into a wall.

I agree, Riot does lack the understanding of melee vs range balance. We have a few items that distinguish range/melee and it's stronger on melee champions. But that's ain't enough.

I think melee champions should have more base MS than Ranged overall, kite + high AS + lifesteal.. melee champs doesn't have a fair fight against ranged.

PS: Phage branch upgrades could help a lot, but Rito simple hate melee champs.

I'd be fine with Vayne if her silver bolts did like %CurrentHP true damage. BorK is already the perfect item for her.
