I noticed this myself and honestly got to thinking. Assuming you could get a champion to 100k+ HP (very hypothetical) could they theoretically survive the ult dying? Since the 100k true damage is what kills it, not time running out.

I mean you could totally get Sion to 100k HP but it'd take a LONG time and wouldn't be the most fun experience I don't imagine.

I did some experiments on this with a friend a while back. We Tried Kindred Ult, Zhonya's and Bard ult. Nothing Will Save you from Yorick Ult.

TL;DR Yorick Ulti deals PURE damage (same as Fountain)
