What's with the Love for Ashe

I just don't get it. Ashe to me is a weak champ. Her low defense is just a killer and she's to easy to kill with a well maintained JG. So, what's the group opinion on this?

Dear Lyless,

I think the love for Ashe comes from the fact she was the first champion many of us learned how to play and made memories with. Back on my first account, after playing all the 450 IP-priced champions, Ashe was the one I settled on trying to learn the game's basics with. While I'll decline to play as an ADC 9/10 times even I will play ADC Ashe once in a great while simply because of the memories attached to her; memories I'm sure others also have. My examples of this are my first time getting getting a creep before my lane-foe with her then-passive Focus, my first global assist and kill, my first time using Volley or Enchanted Crystal Arrow to apply CC so my team could win a team fight ( freezing the tank so everybody could pile onto the carries ) we might not otherwise have won because of our lack of experience in the game, etc. So yes, my theory is the love from Ashe stems from the fact that many learned the game through playing her.
