against champs like tryn ho can go invuln and dive you under tower as soon as they hit 6 and walk away like nothing happened. towers either need to slow champs that dive or they need to damage champs that go invuln no matter what.

... There is an entire classification of champions called "Divers" .. Most of them have some form of damage mitigation that will allow them to dive towers and take little-to-no damage.
I would even include the following.
Hell, there is still an item in the game that anyone can buy (but nobody does) that makes ANYONE a tower diver.
