Maokai Jungle Viable?

He's better in the top laner. He's great at brawling with enemy champions early-game and this gives him access to more reliable gold income (letting him become unkillable much quicker).

His jungle clear is fairly slow and the range of his W is rather low. He's great at locking a target down during ganks, but so are a great many champions with significantly more mobility and burst damage.

Take him top lane so you can easily set up ganks for your jungler and start their snowball or just outright pound your opponent's face in.

Maokai was played only jungle before his mana buffs... He has good ganks.

Yeah he's viable

yes, just slow. really shines at ganking lanes that are being pushed inwards. ok for towerdives at 6, just make sure one of you brings damage.

best thing about him is invades are becoming more and more uncommon, giving him ample gold/farm to succeed and get necessary items behind him.
