10LP per game??!?!

Why am I only getting 10 LP per game but losing like 20??!?! I just won 2 games of ranked and lost 1 and I'm back at 0 LP! What is going on!??!

Riot is currently investigating issues with the Ranking system that is affecting LP gains/losses. You should expect these types of bugs to be fixed rather quickly. But until then, you might want to stay away from Ranking.

It's because you were Silver V. Your MMR isn't acceptable for Silver IV; you should be Bronze I, but they didn't drop people in V division down when they combined it with IV. It's probably not a bug.

Yeah, Riot made lower leagues essentially drop 3, so silver 1 is silver 3 now etc. expect to drop a lot, in the meantime you'll be seeing some people way higher rank than you as well. Getting the most mismatched games I've ever had.

Not sure where you got this information, but no one's ranks should be dropping for any reason (unless your MMR was down in the gutter after the patch and lost a game at 0LP). The only ranks directly affected by the recent patch are players in the fifth division of their league, in which they were essentially promoted for free.

Yeah yeah, all you do is run around denying anything negative while not getting paid to work for riot lel.

The changes in divisions when flattened out mean S1 is now equivalent to S3 for example, meaning our ranks will eventually flatten out to those positions, Plat 1-4 are the only ones that didn't move. Now, not sure if you simply don't understand that, or are just up riots rear end again.

Just to be clear, I don't work for Riot, nor say anything that protects Riot in any way. I even have some dislikes with how Riot does some things with their game. I never denied your explanation, was just unsure where you got the information because it was unclear.

As with your explanation, I understand what you are trying to say now, but this is related to the changes to the MMR for each division for each rank because a division was removed. Because the fifth division of each rank was removed, everyone's MMR becomes a rank lower (or more) based on the old Ranking system.

For example, if you were Gold V and promoted to Gold IV because of the change, your MMR is now Silver I since Gold V was removed. Even at Plat 2, the actual MMR would drop to Plat 3/4 MMR because a division was removed. This is affecting higher ranked players as well, not just Silver and Gold players. It just would not make sense that way.

Dude, you are immediately trying to be negative and trying to say that this is somehow my fault and I'm not worthy of my rank. You seem to be just making things up just to be negative and cynical. Please stop. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. The ranked system is down right now. Before you make posts like this in the future please do some research, be constructive, positive, and know the facts!

No, you don't seem to understand, there are the exact same number of divisions as before, they just changed the names, but the bottom 4 start empty. If you line them up side by side, anyone below plat 4 will on average drop 1 or more divisions to level it back out to where it was before, the lower you are, the more you have to drop. Or did you think that Iron was going to be permanently empty?

Take all the old ranks, line them up in a spreadsheet next to the new ones, then you'll understand.

No they won't. You are wrong. the additional divisions will spread out the levels of playing ability. People aren't going to just drop a division. It split bronze into 2 divisions. Some will move up while others move down to equal it out. You seem to think everyone is just going to move down. That is wrong and very negative thinking.
