Taliyah´s Passives discussion

As we know, Taliyah is not a bad champion as it is, but at the same time she has been tweaked and nerfed to the point she is in a weird spot of not been damaging enough, and at the same time she doesnt control like champions in the lines of oriana or anivia, who both have great damage on top of that.

Since the Lockout of W, the W-E cannot be buffed because of the burst potential, And the Q is very strong and at the same time is very inconsistent. This lead to her being very difficult to buff in damage.... but this doesnt mean that she cannot be buffed in utility. thats why i propose to buff her passives; Rock Surf and worked Ground.

> Rock Surf: IMO it needs to offer more. I feel that thematically, this passive is great but in practice is weird. I dont know why she needs to be hugged to walls for it to activate. On top of it it doesnt help her in active battles but just to roam. Ill suggest some ideas to consider (not all at the same time obvs).

1- Let her rock surf on worked ground. This would help her to create paths to move while in lane, and surprise enemies. Also it would be cool to let her surf a little more farther from walls. My idea was to add a passive to R, that will let her keep surfing after getting out of walls more time depending on the level of R. For example, 1 extra sec at lvl 1, and 2 and 3 secs at max level.

2- Let her actively use rock surf while in combat, This one is more tricky, but it would be cool for her to be able to keep surfing for 2 or 3 secs after enering combat (dependding on the level of taliyah for example)

> Worked Ground I will borrow this idea from someone i saw here on forums. I think WG should affect her abilities and give her new attributes, at least some of them.

Q- Volley. Rework the skill to make her shoot 3 volleys on non-WG...and let her charge volleys while staying for some time on WG, to be able to get the 5 pellets stored. This would balance the damage of WG right now which is way too much or simply nothing. Summary...shooting nonchargeed vooley: 3 pellets.... shooting charged volley after some seconds in worked ground : 5 pellets.

E: Minefield. Let her snare enemies who eplode the mines on a minefield casted on WG...and make the slow way stronger when the E was casted on WG.

Thoughts?

I think this would be great to see, that or change it back to her original passive concept where after 5 seconds of standing still, she would encase herself in stone and regen mana and health with limited vision and inability to move

i have a bad feeling about that WG suggestion, with that change it will make her more of a territorial mage like donger, whereas she is all about that nomad lifestyle. what i would like is more move speed on her surfboard and her worked ground. maby at in some damage to structures on her mine field, but that might be a bit much

"Taliyah is is fine. Taliyah is ranged so she needs to be gated." - Riot Games Her passive is dumb, simple and doesn't do much for her... other than "roaming near walls" Her R does no damage. Her E is telegraphed. Her only source of dmg is Q which is gated with worked ground.

"Camille's weakness is that she is melee." - Riot Games Get's a braindead passive with automatic activation that does something for her and her kit. True damage. High Damage. High Mobility. Seemingly No Mana Costs. Speed Boost. No gates anywhere, but dont worry she is balanced because her weakness is that she is melee.

I am also confused by her passive. I feel like it's only really good for getting back to lane and roaming. I get the out of combat requirement, but 5 seconds is a long time. Can't the cooldown be shortened a bit so she can at least get a little GTFO utility out of it?

How would you implement more tankiness on her?. That would not be out of her character?

Let's be real here. The passive is just a situational Boots of Mobility with a rock board cosmetic. I honestly think removing the requirement to be near a wall wouldn't make the passive that much stronger. At the moment, it's just a tad inconvenient to move over a few steps to trigger the passive. It is technically a (minor) quality-of-life issue. I don't know how Taliyah players put up with it.

IMO its annoying and lazily thought to be honest. Thats why i think they should do better with that passive.

Is coola nd the animation of going in and out of the board is really well done...but the concept is flawed.
