Blue essence is useless

foolishly spent money on crates and got multiple champion shards. i also own all champions, needless to say i will not spend money on hextech crafting anymore. not very fond of giving riot money for nothing in return.

Riot has stated that they're working on a solution to this.

It's so annoying when people bitch and moan without taking the slightest bit of effort to look into an issue.

But you'll be able to reroll champion shards into new champions on day 1 release. Except you turned them all into essence like an idiot.

Riot said they are working on some ideas for other uses for blue essences so people who own every champ don't get left out. personaly I think one quick idea till they come up with some more tangible uses (like champs / skins) is to allow people to use champ essences to buy re-rolls in ARAM. That will give 'em a use till riot figures out other uses for blue essences while providing a way to get re-rolls in ARAM aside from just playing a bunch of ARAM.

I am certain Riot will find a use for blue essence. Remember that the system is brand new and they are working out all of the kinks first.

They are planning to give use to champ shards (and presumably blue essence too) for those who have all champs. Last I heard the plan was to use it to unlock champion mastery levels 6/7, although obviously that's subject to change.

I probably would hold on to champ shards though versus immediately converting them, since that's one way and the convert value is static, so best to hold on to any shards in case you need those rather than the essence in the future.

I've had all champions perpetually since sometime in season 2 or 3? I can't even remember. All I know is that I bought Karthus last, then shortly afterwards champion release rates dropped dramatically.

I have enough skins, I want interesting things to get with this "hextech dust".

Give me champion auras, hextech-only ward skins, special taunt particles for mastery taunts, chroma sets, let me have my summoner icon IN MATCHES SOMEWHERE, etc.

Its like Riot is taking a big blue dump into my crafting inventory.

Give it a year or so, and hopefully Riot will have made a use for the extra essence

Indeed, even more useless as can champions can just be bought with IP, and IP is already so easy/ useless. Useless squared.

As someone who owns a large chunk of the champions and have around 120k IP laying around, this. I mean I'm not angry at Riot for creating this gap, since many players won't have anything but good times with it. But personally I would appreciate something meaningful to use my blue essence and IP on.

I read the title to this tread as Essence Reaver, and I was like "I use it all the time, what are you talking about?" lol i was pretty confused when if found out it was about crafting lol ^_^

They should make it a 3 blue/ 2 orange and vice versa.

most people dont have all the champs. those people that do should be happy with their vast selection of champs during the important part of league of legends (the gameplay aspect, believe it or not). you're jealous that riot didnt implement this for most of the time that you've played. if riot gave free skins to everyone nobody would spend money on league and the game would either die or they'd have to make huge cuts to anywhere but the salary of the highest ranked fat cats, which everyone knows, happens very rarely. the point is riot giving us less popular revenue-earning items like ward skins and chroma packs is a way to help prolong the downfall of league if ever there was one, while giving back to the community something that riot thought would be nice for both parties, or whatever other reason

I literally have nothing to spend my IP on.

Yea, I'm not spending a hot cent on chests or even opening the ones I earn until Rito finalizes what they're doing about this issue.

Well it is useless for the time being but they have said that they will have other options in the future for us that have all the champs (as I'm waiting on it too), so all we can do is just sit there and grow in blue essence.

Well, on the bright side ... all you need is 3 champ shards to get AS when he's released.
