Not a very useful tip, but it shows an interesting mechanic. Shields can prevent interrupting recall. Same used to apply for Rek'Sai's ultimate mark (couldn't dash to them if her Q hit a shielded enemy), althought this was changed later.

Same might apply to channeling for item 3814, although it needs testing.

I'm like an encyclopedia for league gameplay and I did not know this.... Never seen anyone get a shield at the end of their recall.

Time to add that entry! I'm gonna be keeping this in mind when I'm playing shield supports in the future.

How did you not know that damage to shields didn't count as 'damage'.

Its a notorious issue with Yasuo's passive. He dives for an early cheesy kill, while the other person hit him with one thing, not even breaking his shield, and he gets executed.

People complain about it all the time on the forums.

Interesting indeed.

that has always been a known fact. recalls are only interrupted through direct damage. if you have a shield soaking it up you can still recall. such goes also for archangel staff shield, blitz passive shield etc etc

Right, I just wanted to show a case where you don't need to do anything crazy (full armor malphite build is fairly common, too), or need outside help, and is possible in a normal game. Most shields don't last for full 8 seconds, whereas Malphite's shield lasts until it's broken.
