How to get out of silver from someone who has been stuck in there for a very long time

Hey guys my names Skwakss and I just recently made it out of hell (silver). I did this in a grand total of i think 6 days of playing, climbing from silver 4 to gold 5 i think an hour or two before the season ended. I currently am still sitting at 75% winrate and am already gold 4 (albeit it is now the preseason). I'm a support main, who for the longest time kept blaming my teammates as to why i couldnt get to the elo i wanted to be in. I discovered a few things on my climb to gold in which after implementing them i achieved about a 75% winrate and climbed incredibly fast.

Firstly, look at the top winrate champions in silver, there is a reson they have thte top win rate. Champs like Jinx, Brand, Wukong, and Xin are all pretty low skill champs in my opinion who excel in 1 of 2 things, easily getting on to and deleting the carries, or safely providing tons of damage for the team. Playing champs like this is one of the best ways i found to climb the ladder.

Second, make sure you are grouping with your team for the mid game. If you are behind, group with your team, if youre ahead group with your team. there are plenty of videos on youtube about how to play from behind, I highly recommend looking at them, one of the best ones ive seen is by a youtuber named Phylol check him out. Also realize late game that if you get picked you can cost your team the whole game, its better to group with your team and push objectives.

The thing that makes silver so hard really is that teams cant press leads more often than not, you can have a 5 and 1 adc going into the mid game but if they dont have their top laner there to take up some aggro or peel a little they wont be able to do much. this either leads to uneven teamfights (4v5's) or to the other team catching up because the fed player cant press their advantage.

One of the other biggest issues i found when trying to win games was that in the late game, people didnt understand just how bad it was to get picked. If you get picked at 40 or 50 minutes, thats either a free baron or a turret for the other team. its not the worst thing in the world to wait 15 seconds for your teammates to buy and group up with you
