But then if everyone bans the same 5 champions, then the total number of bans goes down to 5.

Like...really how awful would it be to just to turn based bans and just lower the time duration you have to pick and lock in your ban (what is it, like 25 seconds right now? Lower like 20? 15? How long does it take to ban?). Don't the LCS players get a turn based ban system?

I was really looking forward to more champion diversity so I wasn't playing games with the same Yasuo/Lee Sin/Zed/Syndra/Caitlyn/Lucian team comps, but oh well.

Feels good when you have enough confidence in your abilities that you don't need to ban yasuo or lee.

MY biggest decision is going to be... ban Lee or Yas? Maybe someone before me will ban one or the other to make my choice easier :) Sounds like we wont be seeing much R+R Combos from those two love birds.

Riot doesn't want to let people lock 10 champions out of a game, that's not their point with this system. They simply want to give everyone a say in who's banned.

You could save even more time by allowing people to find their ban and soft lock it before their turn came. Of course you'd still have I'm going to take all my time guy. But not everyone would do that.
