I like playing non meta builds and today I came up with an idea for a top lane kalista build that would let her kite forever.
The Build: 
You could also build more tanky by swapping out the ie or bork for a warmogs or banshees

I'm not sure if this would actually be useful beyond the laning phase. It'd be annoying as fuck, though.
I've done something similar with a 
build before. Was fun as all holy hell.
Kites for days. For sustain occassionally I'll swap out the VS for a BotRK.
get banshe instead of randuins
this will allow her to be completly immune to some champions who have only one skill to actualy get her like darius
