Differences in player attitude

Sometimes I don't have much time to actually play league, so during these times i either spec or join custom games. But I've noticed something - Generally, I notice plat players seem rather...dickish. I've met and am friends with plenty of nice plat players but alot of them seem to have this horrid elitist and snobby mindset, especially when talking to silver or bronze players.

Curiously, most of my diamond and higher friends are rather chill people, the same can be said for most that i encounter in customs.
