Why move the NA West coast servers to Chicago?

Seems pointless to be moving the NA West coast servers to some far away server I mean yeah sure it makes more sense for the East coast.. but you basically made my ping go from 30-95.. Thank's riot... great thinking on your parts... NOT! ._.

Living in Atlantic Canada, I've played with between 100-200 ping for over a year, and well over that before fibreoptic internet came to my area. Averaging ~100 ping, I've done pretty well for myself I'd say. 100 ping isn't even that bad, everything was snappy enough. That said, it's about time the servers moved to a more central location. Most of the US population lives on or toward the East Coast. This is a move that positively impacts most of the NA server players with minimal negative impact on West coast players. The majority of NA players should have the same or similar ping. Obvious exceptions being people in Hawaii and Alaska for example. The move is a good thing overall.

TL;DR: You aren't the only one playing League, stop crying about a small ping increase.
