stop trying to 1v1 the adc, and stop letting him poke you to death? It's the late game, group up with your team. Or pick champions that scale better into the late game if you're having a problem with dropping off.

Some tanks have very high attack like seju-something-something..err..I forgot her name. She rides this polar bear thingy..oh that reminds me, Volibear is real strong lategame also! Just remember that all champs take practice. Just don't let any ADC get you below half health because then they can spam all their attacks and destroy you.

You seems like the "type" so I recommend playing Yasuo. He's anti-range and can go tankier with Tri-force/mallet

I perform pretty well late game as a tank if I engage at just the right time. It isn't just the enemy team that shreds people stupid fast. Unless I geuss your team went all tank and support items.

Late game I find myself trusting my team to kill people as I lock them down.

Actually works pretty well since everyone is so bloodthirsty in bronze/silver (I'm unranked so I play with those people). All they need is someone to help sate those desires.

God I'd be a support main if most of my favorite champions weren't top laners.
