I got 6 Champion Shards that I have no use for. [I don't own all the champions but I'm not in the habit of buying champions I won't play. I'm sitting on 26K IP.]
I got 1 Ward Skin that I had no intention of ever getting.
I got 3 Skin Shards for Champions I did not own.
I got 1 Skin Shard I could actually use.
So... for $15 I was able to craft a 750 RP skin for "free".
Mystery gifting skins to yourself is the better option than praying for favorable Hextech RNG.

AChanceOfReign2 votesI know, they really need to take another look at this feature. It's nice to get any skin for about 195 RP or for free. But the key frag drop is way to low. It's weird how that affects certain players, I still haven't gotten a key frag in weeks.

It feels more like "Account bound luck" I got like 3 or 4 in 1 or 2 days, but for like 2 weeks straight. Nothing...just sadness and 5 locked chests ;-;

Kitten of Evil1 votesI've had decent luck with it, although I tend to play normals and ARAMs with 2 friends. I'm not sure if that increases the odds of finding things, but I've usually been able to get about 1 key about every 3 days. Boxes seem to drop fairly often too, but I think they may be tied to S scores on a single champion. I don't always play the same one or two champions.
I got the Lunar Wraith Morgana from the tester "here's how it works" pack, then was also able to craft Super Galaxy Rumble by disenchanting a few other skin shards. I own all the champions and so far only one of the 5 boxes contained a champion shard.

Fovere1 votesIt's hard to complain about a system that gives players access to all kinds of skins without paying into it, so I won't.
That said, I agree the drop rate on keys are a bit low, even with the resets
I see a lot of potential for this system, and look forward to seeing what they do about the champion shards.
