S+ to D? can we get more info on how these happen?

As a very active player i always want to know how I did, and the ranking system at the end game lobby gives you a decent score on what you did. Although when i get a B or A instead of an S- like i believed i was doing, the game is reluctant to tell me how or why i got a lower score than my teammate who seemed to do worse than me overall. At the end game lobby....maybe have a graph on what you did that increases this ranking at the end game lobby or something that gives you more information on what you can do to get that S- instead of just relying on hope

They cant really give us that info or people would play for it. People might ignore teamfight to get 20 more CS because of grade or something like that.

Seconded here. If Riot gives us any more info past "Do well, get good grades", you'll see people playing towards grade objectives rather than real game objectives if they differ. Seems unhealthy.

Maybe that's a good thing lmao? Idk dying less and getting more cs seem like good things to focus on

Deaths are probably the biggest factor involved. If you die 10 times, you're more than likely not getting an S, regardless of what else you've done. Why? Because deaths are extremely important. CS also matters a lot.

CS/minute is what matters, not actual CS. You can get 200 CS and you'd still get a bad score because the game passes a certain time.

Yes. Sorry, was thinking that was implied lol.

It frustrates me that CS matters so much on ARAM. I've gone like 2/0/37 or something on Soraka before on ARAM and just gotten an A, I'm guessing because of CS.

Easiest way to get an S/S+ on Soraka is to play ADC.

While it doesn't show the grade, I got an S+ from this game. http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2529153001/211182995?tab=overview

So I have to play ADC and get a lot of farm to get a good score on Soraka? That's just dumb. If the rating system is set up so that that is a result of it, then there's something wrong with the rating system.

Yeah, well rito isn't really geared towards ARAM to be honest. Kind of just gets thrown to the way side.

On a related note, you're compared to other people playing THAT champion. So, while you're 2/0/37 on Raka, there are people that go 2/0/37 on Raka that ALSO get a lot of CS. That's why the cs requirement is where it's at for the champion.

Your grade doesn't compare you with your teammates. It compares you to the average player that plays the champion you played at the role you played.

Yes the grading system can seem a bit off at times but there are multiple factors that go into getting you that grade.

Primarily you have to understand that the grade is based off of other people playing that particular champion in that particular role.

So if your say in bronze and playing MissFortune ADC, you will have to do REALLY good to get an S- or higher because the average of players playing her in the ADC role are doing quite well.

but if you were to play righUrgot t now for example and go 9/1/6 with 225 CS and contributed to 2-3 tower/dragon/baron objectives you will probably get an S or S+ (example)

This is always changing obviously as the meta changes and patches alter how the game is played.

Grading is based on your overall performance with that champion relative to other players who have also played them. There's very little merit in comparing grades with a teammate, as some are much easier to score an S with than others--for example, Fiora top players tend to perform very well in the current game environment so if you don't get 80+ CS every 10 minutes and maintain a 2:1 kill-to-death ratio you very well may not get it, but if you were to tear it up with an unfavoured toplaner like Trundle or Nautilus then you could feasibly get S with a much worse CS/kill score.

It's really bugs me how much cs impacts the score of laners and junglers. I pretty much never gets S's on WW or Sion (my main jg and top) because I take early drags/RH on WW and roam when I can with Sion. There have been so many times where I've hard carried a game by setting up kills and taking objectives but since I wasn't getting cs during those times my score suffers.

Warding also plays a factor. Especially if you are playing supports.

Riot doesn't release this because then players would min-max their stats in game to farm S ranks.
