Verizon 130 ping spikes?

SmurfBlanc·1/21/2018, 5:16:08 PM·9 votes·1,061 views

Been getting nonstop ping spikes since last night. Normally play with 20-30 ping, but last night it shot up to 130 in client. This was also inconsistent with constant spikes in the ping where input was delayed by half a second at times.

Lost several ranked games from this. Any others experiencing this/have a solution?

Apparently, a lot of people are also experiencing the same problem. They all use Verizon Fios and live on the East Coast. So far it hasn't been determined whether the problem is Riot's server or Verizon itself, but it's likely to be Verizon's fault. I would recommend stop playing until this issue is fixed.

Have you bought the Verizon premium package?

I have the same thing right now. No solution that I know of, but it does suck. Just stay away from ranked until it's resolved.

I have verizon as well, usually what happens is i wont lag 90% of the game, but like twice a match ill hit a giant 400-600 ping spike for 15 seconds or so then it goes away

130 is my regular ping, what

Leaving a "me too" post as well. East coast, Verizon Fios, 130 ping throughout the match, jumping to 500 spikes at a few points. Welcome to post net neutrality.

I don't have Verizon but I'm having a constant 176 ping only on League at the moment.

I got some WEIRD ping yesterday ( an additional 100 ping). The ping locked at the start of the game and wouldn't shift. Other games my ping was normal. But I'm definitely not on Verizon.

Did you pay for the verizon gaming package? they require it now for stable ping.

Those hot spot devices also tend to be unreliable and of very poor build quality which is also very location based for "good ping" which make them horrible to use for anything requiring consistent connection.

Just adding a "me too" post...Verizon Fios, East Coast, usually get 30-ish ping but mostly getting around 140 since yesterday. I was thinking about playing some placements today but dished that idea.
