Riot should add a small tool on the launcher that shows your current ping time off the server, updated every 5 min or so to avoid server overload. This way people with inconsistent connections can see if they are likely to be able to play a round or struggle with ping. I believe a tool like this would help prevent dc's and laggers in games.
Wathehellsupdog1 votesWhile it isn't the Riot servers I usually just ping na.lolesports.com from the command prompt to assess whether I will have a laggy game or not.
GeneralBrad2 votesyou could submit a lag ticket and they will give you servers to ping (which I assume are the game servers) but no everyone knows how to do this and it's a bit of a hassle.
