I hate how Champions like Illaoi, Yorick, Zyra or Gangplank give the enemy free gold.
There is a thorn in my eye, when I play a champion that can spawn any sort of minion that can be killed. I hate how I am essentially giving my enemy free gold just by playing these champion. And there is nothing I can do to stop that.
I get why Riot puts a gold reward on player spawned objects: To incentivize desired gameplay patterns. Play a cat and mouse game around Gangplank's barrels and get rewarded 10 gold for being quicker. Zyra's plants can be annoying, but maybe if you and your partner team up against them you can bring them down quicker. Tibbers is your companion so you better dont let your friend die!
But what about Illaoi? Sure she has an incentive to protect her tentacles. But when playing against a ranged opponent your passive might as well read "Give your opponent 5g every 20 seconds". And you only have limited control over where your tentacles spawn.
What about Yorick? He can't get rid of his mistwalkers (anymore). And each one gives 5g. And unlike Tibbers he cant control the maiden so you know she will die to an enemy eventually.
And dont tell me those gold values are insignificant. It adds up! I counted how many times mistwalkers and maidens were killed by enemy champions in the first twenty minutes of a game and I counted 31 MW and 2 maidens. Thats 31x5g+2x50g=255g you give your opponent for free!
My point is that a player shouldn't be punished for something he has little control over and the enemy not rewarded for you merely existing.
